Hogwarts

After discussing other things with the Minister, Nora and Professor Dumbledore decided to go straight to Hogwarts to be introduced to the other Professors. Professor Dumbledore apparates Nora to the front gate of Hogwarts. He leads Nora through the halls of Hogwarts to a door. He opens the door and inside are the rest of the Professors sitting around a table.

"Good afternoon Professors. I would like to introduce Nora Black the exchange students from the States."

Nora notices that the greasy black-haired man grimaced and sneered when he heard the last name 'Black'.

"Why is it when everyone hears my last name they instantly assume I'm related to the House of Black because I'm not. The States work differently with family names." Nora glares at the black haired man.

"I apologies." He says with a stern voice.

"As I was saying Nora here has already taken her N.E.W.T.s with flying colors so she will be popping in and out of classes. Any questions can be asked later... now I need to speak with the heads."

Professor Dumbledore dismisses everyone in the room except four of the Professors. The black-haired man was one of them.

"Now Nora here at Hogwarts the students are separated into four Houses Gryffindor for the brave, Hufflepuff for the most loyal, Ravenclaw for the intelligent, and Slytherin for the cunning. These four Professors are the heads of the Houses. We have Professor McGonagall for the Gryffindor, Professor Sprout for Hufflepuff, and lastly Professor Snape for Slytherin." Indicating to each of the professors.

McGonagall is tall with a severe-looking face. Sprout is short witch with patched up clothes. Flitwick is the shortest wizard that Nora has ever seen, barely the size of a toddler. Lastly Snape the shoulder length black hair completely dressed in black.

Nora nods her head to each one in greeting.

"Nora since you won't be really attending classes you are not required to be placed in a house, but I would recommend that you were to be sorted so you can experience the complete life at Hogwarts." Professor Dumbledore tells Nora.

"How do I get sorted?"

Professor Dumbledore pulls out his wand and conjures up a very old hat. He places the hat on top of Nora's head.

"So you're the new student from the states. Hmmm you are very difficult. You have the mind of a Ravenclaw, but you also have the loyalty to whoever you believe is worthy of it. You also have the bravery of a Gryffindor, but the cunning of a Slytherin." The hat talks to Nora.

Then the hat jumps off of Nora's head and lands on the table.

"Is it supposed to do that." Nora asks looking at the other Professors. They are all looking at the hat in confusion.

"No... it has never done that before." Professor Dumbledore says kneeling down directly so his face is directly in front of the hat.

"Do you have a house for Nora?" he asks the hat.

"All of them. The hat replies. "She has the qualities of all the houses." Then the hat faces Nora. "You have had a dark and hard past it's time for you to learn what you really are." Then the hat went silent.

Nora closes her eyes thinking of the all too long memories hidden in her head

Professor Dumbledore coughs to break the staring and the silence.

"Nora since you are part of all the of the houses these four Professors will be in charge of you in your stay here. Here at Hogwarts we have a point system that the Professors can award and take away points from your house, since you are in all of them that points that you gain and lose will be taken and gained by all the houses. As for you quarters you will be given a suit that will have doors connecting to all of the houses common rooms. Now I think a visit to Diagonal Ally to get your school supplies and school robes."

"Ugh... my Ministry should have seriously sent you a letter. One of my requirements of agreeing to come to this school is that I would get to wear what I want." Nora says sighing.

"Alright, but you will stand out and I must insist that you at least get one robe for special occasions."

"Fine." Nora agrees

"Do you have money?"

"Yes, but I need to stop by your wizarding bank to see if they at least received everything."

"That should be fine. Severus would you mind taking her to Gringotts?" Professor Dumbledore asks Snape. "You are already done preparing for this new year."

"Alright." Professor Snape says in a bitter voice.
