His laugh is like the sun breaking through the clouds in a winter sky, the kind that reminds you how long it's been since you last felt the rays of sunlight on your face. Jax smiles like he's won something, like life is worth living. I want to submerge myself in that laugh, that honey-sweet pool of rippling joy. It sparks something in me that I thought died long ago, a boiling, sunshiney something that I hadn't realized I was missing until now.

That smile... Showing the tiny gap between his front teeth, just large enough to be noticeable, that dimple in his left cheek that's been hiding all this time, and his eyes light up, stadium lights; they close if he laughs hard.

The moment he stops laughing, when his smile fades, I'm already grasping at straws to try and find ways to bring it back. I draw a blank because I've forgotten how to think. I can only think about him and how close he is.

I made him smile.

I glance at his lips, then at his eyes, silver, fish scale eyes, back to his mouth.

The corner of his mouth draws up in a half smile, showing me that little gap, that dimple, again. "Oli?"

I think I'm in love.
