Goodbye and Brother?

Winter's P.O.V

I woke up from another nightmare gasping for air. I looked to my left and saw moon was wide awake. "Good morning love how long have you been up?" I asked her as she sat up. "About 30 minutes." she said with a smile/sad face. "Did to much happen last night." I asked in a playful voice hoping to cheer her up about the face that I leave in a few hours. Thankfully it worked not much but still a little helps. "Winter you should start packing your things I will go get breakfast." She said and left the bedroom. Winter let out a quiet sigh and began to pack.

Moon's P.O.V

I went down stairs and opened a new invention called a freezer. Apparently it is a wood box with rubber walls on the inside and you but ice and meat inside. The point of this is so that the meat stays good and all you have to do is reheat the meat. I pulled out some sheep and took it over to the fire and blew some flames onto the fire to let the meat cook. I went to the couch climbed on and laid there thinking about what it would be like when winter leaves. I will have my friends took keep me company but what about the night. What if I feel alone? What if winter dies and I am alone for the rest of my life? What if...?  Winter came down stairs with a bag around his neck he placed the bag by the door and sat down next to me. "Hey winter I thought you didn't need to pack anything?" I asked him. "I don't." he said going to the door grabbing the bag and come back. The bag was actually smaller then I thought. "It is full with personal items like a journal because I think I should write about the war so dragons in the future don't make the same mistakes, there some paper, ink, feathers to write, and this necklace." I looked at the necklace and saw that it was the necklace I gave winter on our forth data. The necklace was a sliver moon broken in half. I had the other half. The sliver represents winter, the moon me, and when we put the pieces together it makes a full moon showing us as together. I saw winter pull the food off the fire as tears started to build in my eyes but this time it was tears of joy he knew how much that necklace means to me. We sat down on the floor and started to eat.

Winter's P.O.V

After me and moon ate we laid on the sofa together for the rest of the time. "Winter can I see your drafting papers?" moon asked breaking the silence. "Sure, here it says that after training I will have one day to come back to my home before I get aside a role. I only get breaks when I have earned them. " I said reading the the parts that say when I can see moon. While we continued to talk we heard a knock on the door.  I think it is time. I stand up and walk to the door. I open the door and fined...HAILSTORM!!!! "Hailstorm what are you doing here?!?!" he took as step back realizing that it was me. "Winter you joined the army too?" He asked me. "Yeah what do you mean too?" "Well you see the solider that picked me up had someone else too so he told me to come and get you from here to take you to a camp." He replied. "Okay I will be back in a minute let me get my things and say goodbye to my girlfriend." I said going inside and shut the door. "Sure I will wait here and WAIT YOUR GIRL---!" he was cut off by me closing the door. "Moon it is time for me to leave." I said turning around to find a crying moon. "Moon." I said wrapping my wings around bring her into a hug as she wrapped hers around me and buried her head into my neck. "Moon you need to by strong for me okay." I said nuzzling the top of her head. "O-o-o-k-kay I will but what if I feel so alone." "Moon you have our friends I am sure they wouldn't mined you coming over." We stood like that for a few more moments. "Moon it is time for me to go." I said as a few tears left my eyes. We let go and I grabbed my bag and she placed the necklace over my neck. "I love you winter." she said giving me one last hug. "I love you to moonwatcher." I said hugging her back I gave her a kiss on her muzzle and I let go. I opened the door walked out side and joined hailstorm in the sky. I turned around got one more glace at moon as she looked at me. I waved to her and she waved back. I turned around and flew off to the sky.
