Anthony wasn't the only one I'd forgotten.
Everyone that I knew and loved was forgotten.
Except Alex.
Maybe it's because he was the last person I talked to.
The welcome home party was dull and silent. Everyone hoped that my condition would be serious.
But it was.
"You... don't remember me?"
"I'm sorry. I don't remember any of you, except Alex."
Everyone was shocked. Silence was upon us.
Alex cleared his throat to get everyone's attention. "We all know this is serious and that it's tragic. But if we work together, we can get her memory back."
Anthony spoke. "What if I don't want her memories to come back?"
My heart broke. Very familiar feelings washed over. They were...
Broken.
Heartbroken.
Unhappy.
Lonely.
Depressed.
Guilty.
The last one had me puzzled. Guilty? I realized why I had that feeling.
It was the memory of when I moved on with Alex.
That's one memory back, instead of all of them.
Is that why he doesn't want my memories to come back?
"You don't want me to have my memories back? What kind of a boyfriend are you?!"
"I was never your boyfriend in the first place! I loved you, yes, but I never wanted to be more!"
My was completely shattered. I may not remember what he did or who he was to me, but what he said pierced right through my heart.
I had to get of here.
I ran out.
I didn't care where I was going as long as I didn't see him again!
As much as I want to know what happened in the past, I don't care anymore.
I kept running.
Running.
And stopped.
A man, who was clearly 4 times my height, stood in front of me.
"Well look at what we have here. Where're your parents little one?" His voice was deep and commanding. I ignored him and walked past him. He grabbed my arm. "I'm talking to you!"
"Let me go." I was so close to flipping this guy over.
"Answer—" I flipped him over. My anger took over and he landed on the floor with a thud. I let him go. He shook with fear. Then got up and punched me.
I wasn't afraid of him. But he was afraid of me.
His punch barely did any damage. So I kicked him in the gut. He held his stomach and fell to the floor.
"Who are you?" I glared at him. Waiting for his answer.
"Someone who was hired to kill you... but you're clearly stronger than we thought."
"Who hired you?!" I was getting worried.
"Not telling!"
I kept kicking him until he gave in. He never did no matter how hard I kicked him. So I tried something a little different.
I kicked his face. Hard.
"A-Alright I'll talk!" I stopped. "She hated you for being the reason Anthony broke up with her. She wanted to get you back."
"Who?!"
A new voice was heard. "Me." She stepped up and faced me. "Hello Marylin. I wanted my men to kill you in that car crash, but instead you got memory loss." She sighed. "I have to admit it, I'm happy you forgot Anthony. 'Cause it means I can just take him for myself!" She chuckled. "But there is a possibility that you'll remember him. And I don't want that to happen."
She snapped her fingers. Two men came out and grabbed me. I struggled and tried screaming. But they put a rag over my mouth.
"Take her away."
Something hard hit the back of my head.
My eyes shut and darkness surrounded me.
• 3rd person's P.O.V •
It seemed like hours after Marylin was knocked out, and stuffed into a car. The car drove off towards an underground, abandoned railway station. The one place where her screams couldn't be heard.
At the party, Anthony was drunk. He wallowed his pain and despair in alcohol. Alex tried talking some sense into him. But it didn't work. Everyone else continued on. Trying to forget what happened. But what was done is done.
"Apologize to Marylin!" Alex yelled at Anthony.
Anthony hiccupped and said, "I loved *hiccup* her... but now *hiccup* she's gone..."
"Marylin is the same—"
They're phones went off. Amber Alert rang.
A young girl was taken and was transported in a black truck.
Anthony didn't seem to care. In fact, he didn't care about anything right now. Alex sighed and tried getting more information. He thought Marylin was captured. But he thought it was impossible at the same time.
Marylin's P.O.V
The blindfold was still on, but not the rag that was covering my mouth.
Where am I?
Everything was silent. The sound of metal clinking together was all that was heard. Until the sound of heels took over and came closer.
"I know you're awake. So I'm going to tell you something. You can scream as many times as you want, but no one will hear you. In 2 weeks, your punishment will come. And your prince charming will be mine."
"I may not remember much, but I do know one thing. He was never yours to begin with."
A sharp pain came upon my cheek. She slapped me. Her rings cut my skin and increased the pain.
"You stole him away from me! I don't know what he sees in you, but he'll soon see I can be everything he wants!"
"If you mean a crazy, jealous, psychopath ex, then I'm sure you'll fit in."
"Joseph!" Her fingers snapped. More footsteps came closer. It stopped, and another wave of pain came. Instead, it hurt more. I tasted blood. He punched me. "You better not hope for a miracle. Cause you're never getting out of here!"
Someone, somewhere, please help me!
