"Omg!! I wonder who is going to be on my team this year! Exclaimed Missy with such excitement she couldn't even stand it. "I wonder what this new season brings me." Missy had explained to her mom that she was nervous for the new season because she was in the new league. 17-year-olds. Bigger fields. People stronger than she will ever be. Were the coaches going to be mean? Will I get hurt? She thought to herself. As they arrived at the soccer field she noticed that everything looked the same, just a whole lot bigger. "Mom, I don't know about this." Missy was so nervous her hands started to shake. "Missy, you're going to be fine just relax." Her mom told her trying to calm her down. "You're going to meet so many new people! It will be great!" She finally got out of the car and noticed that on the bench there was a cute boy sitting right there. "He's kind of cute." She thought to herself. She and the boy were the only ones there because they had arrived early. "Hello." Missy kindly said to the boy. "I'm Missy." He looked at her. "Hi I'm Anthony." He said back. "So are you here for soccer?" Asked Missy. It was kind of awkward for the two of them. "Yeah I came early because I don't know if we were supposed to or not." He said with a smile. "Hey, do you want to go take some shots with me at the goal to warm up?" Ask Missy trying to be friendly. " Sure!" Anthony said. They had about five minutes of shooting until a blonde girl walked down to the field that they were on. Missy automatically went into complete silence. "Kelsey. She's on of the "popular girls" at my school." She told Anthony. Kelsey already knew who Missy was and she gave her a dirty look, but gave Anthony a smile. "Hey." She told Anthony who she was and immediately started to try and make a conversation with him. He already felt bad because one this girl was mean to Missy, and two he had already made some sort of friendship with Missy. Missy ran down to the other half of the field taking shots on that goal while Anthony and Kelsey took their own shots on the other one. "I will be right back." Anthony told Kelsey. He took his ball and ran over to where Missy was, and he could see the face she had. She looked very upset with Kelsey. As the coach arrived, Kelsey looked up to him and said to herself "Missy doesn't deserve this spot on the team. Be for its too late, I need to get her off the team." Kelsey had to think of a plan. Kelsey knew that she had to get Missy off of the team before Anthony and her become potential friends. So, she pulled Anthony aside to tell him about the plan. Anthony knew he had a shot at being friends with Missy, and didn't want to lose it. So, he acted like he was with Kelsey. But he wasn't. Kelsey told Anthony the details. The team practiced for about an hour before the practice was over. Everyone left, except Anthony and Kelsey. They were waiting for their parents. A strong feeling of guilt came over Anthony. He was going to loose everything he had with Missy if he didn't tell her. He needed to tell her, but he couldn't. So, he asked for Missy's number from one of her friends, he tried to text her but the words wouldn't come out. He was nervous. What if she would think that he wanted to trip her? It was all a blur."Maybe I will tell her at the game, or the practice." He said to himself. Whatever happened to her, he knew he had to protect Missy. But how? He finally got the guts and told the coach. "Coach." He was nervous to tell him what Kelsey was going to do. "Kelsey wants Missy off of the team and she is going to trip Missy so that she won't play soccer." Coach understood and we waited to see what was going to happen at the next practice. We all had a plan to tell Missy, but she didn't show up to the practice. Neither did Kelsey. What is going on?
