Chapter 2: Contract Signing

Kath's POV

"Ma'am, it's Ms. Santiago po!" sabay turo sakin ni Best

Seriously?!

"Oh! So you're the girl with the beautiful voice! Come with me." sabi ni Mrs. Reyes kaya sumunod na lang ako.

Pumunta kami sa principal's office. May nakita naman akong dalawang lalaki.

Teka, diba sabi ni Mrs. Reyes kanina na kasama si Mr. Renz Trinidad? So ibig sabihin.. Si Mike yung isa sa mga nakatalikod?

Ohmyghad! Nakakatense!

" Mr. Martinez, Mr. Trinidad, meet the girl in the music video, Ms. Kathreen Nicole Santiago." tumayo naman sina Mr. Martinez at Mike para makipagkamay sakin.

Hinawakan ni Mike yung kamay ko.

OMG! feeling ko hihimatayin na 'ko dito!

"Have a sit Ms. Santiago." sabi ni Mrs. Reyes kaya naman umupo na rin ako. Guess what? Katabi ko si Mike!

"You look good together!" banggit ni Mr. Martinez.

"K-kami po?" tanong ko.

"Yes, you and Renz. Pwedeng-pwede talaga kayo para sa bagong soap natin."

"Bagong soap po? Natin?" Ano bang meron? Bakit ba ko pinatawag dito? Anong kailangan nila sakin?

"Sorry about that Ms. Santiago. The reason why we searched for you is because we need you in our new soap. You will play the role ng kaloveteam ni Renz." pagpapaliwanag ni Mr. Martinez.

"OMG! I can't believe it!" I exclaimed softly.

"You should!" Mike replied while smiling. Grabe! Feeling ko tuloy naparalize ako sa kinauupuan ko.

"Uhm. Mr. Martinez? I think we need to proceed to the meeting room. Kathreen's parents are about to arrive." Mr. Martinez nodded and followed Mrs. Reyes. We did the same way too.

Nang makarating kami sa meeting room, Mike sat down in front of me. I can feel that he's also staring at me. Feeling ko tuloy matutunaw ako.

Few minutes passed, dumating na rin sila mommy.

"Where are you from,Mom?" tanong ko kay mommy after I kissed her.

"I'm from the shop while your Dad came from a business meeting." Did I told you that we have a pastry shop and a company? Di sa pagmamayabang pero sikat ang mga 'yon sa bansa.

Nakipaghand shake naman sila Mom and Dad kila Mr. Martinez at kay Mike before we took our seats.

My mom asked Mike some questions. Dun lang nila narealize na magkakakilala kami. Mike even asked me if I am Nikki. Kahit yung about sa necklace tinanong niya.

"It's nice to know na magkakilala pala ang mga pamilya niyo. Wala na siguro tayong magiging conflict nito."  singit ni Mr. Martinez sa usapan.

After that, inexplain naman ni Mr. Martinez sa amin lahat. Sabi niya, ipapamanage niya na lang din daw ako sa manager ni Mike para hindi na magkaroon ng conflicts sa sched namin. My Mom agreed to that idea. In fact, payag na payag siya sa lahat ng sinabi ni Mr. Martinez. While si Dad, parang ayaw pang pumayag. Kung hindi lang sa pamimilit ni Mommy siguro hindi siya papayag eh. Nakakatuwa nga si Mom eh. Masyado siyang supportive about this idea.

So when Mr. Martinez handed me the contract, I immediately signed it with no hesitation.

I am very happy! I didn't expect this to happen. I really wanna see Wendy right now. I should thank her! This would not happen kung wala siya. I really love my best friend!
