A/N COOOOMMMMMMENNNNNNTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
Alex POV
I waited patiently for Darrin to bring Jules. My mind raced with thousand different tracks of thoughts. How do you tell your human twin sister that you are a vampire? Should I use the list that I made up? Dorky that I have a list for that? May be. Useful that I do? HEELLL YES!
Kidnap her and never let her out in the streets again....?
Fail
Tell her it's a prank and she's an idiot for believing all of this...?
Might work, but how to explain the neck bites.... Fail
Turn her into a vampire too and then tell her the whole story...?
DOUBLE fail. I'm never letting her in this life.
Erase her mind?
I thought over that idea and almost slapped myself. How am I going to that? Only the Elders hold that much power, and I'm sure as hell not going there!
Thud, thud, thud.
Crap, that's Darrin! He has Jules! Hopefully she's not awake! But, of course, she was fully awake, and fighting with Darrin. I almost smiled at how she hit Darrin on the chest, but ended up hurting her own wrist. I ALMOST did.
"Ahem."
Both of their necks snapped towards my direction. I knew being a royal vampire made me confident, but looking at the betrayal-filled eyes of my sister made me loose all my confidence.
"What the hell, Alex?" Jules whispered. If it wasn't for my sensitive hearing, I wouldn't have picked up at her voice cracking. But I did.
"Jules- I-I can explain!"
"Oh, I bet you can! Would you like to explain why there's a freaking blood-sucker standing right next to me? Or would you like to begin with explaining how they exist in the first place?!?" In the end, she let out a slight exasperated chuckle. I knew she was the type to always believe in reality and not mythical creatures. I wouldn't even be surprised if she still didn't believe that vampires existed. But, she was always the type of person who wouldn't full-out panic and go all nuts. She was more or less a pacifist. Sometimes. Barely. Okay, not really- she completely freaks out and goes all sarcastic to hide her obvious panic.
"Jules, I need you to sit down for this. I promise I'll explain most of what's going on."
"Most!?!?!? Alex, after everything I think I deserve a full-out explanation for this.... whatever this freaking thing is!" she gestures to nothing in particular.
"I know you deserve the whole explanation, but trust me the only reason you don't know is because you would be in danger," Jules scoffed at that. I fought down my anger, reminding myself that I cannot lash out on her- she is a human therefore I have no royal command over her.
"Fine. Whatever. Why don't you start? Here, should I make popcorn- is this going to be anything like twilight, 'cuz I swear to God if you say that vampires sparkle in the sun I will personally stab him through his heart," she gestures to Darrin.
"Oi, watch it lady! I do NOT sparkle- but I bet you would like me to prove it to you, right?" Darrin lifted his eyebrows suggestively. But, as soon as he noticed my unamused expression, he held up his arms in a surrendering motion. Jules also noticed my no-fucked-up-nonsense face and twisted her face in a serious way.
"now, will you sit down." i said through gritted teeth. "please"
Darrin immediately rushed over to sit down with his head bowed while my sister walked slowly to the chair with her head held up high. i had to cough to get the growl from my throat at her direct disrespect.
once they were settled, i begun.
" when mom was younger-"
"what the hell does this have to do with mom" Juliet interrupted, causing Darrin to growl.
i shook my head at darrin. " if you had let me finish, you would have understood, now back to my tale. when mom was younger, she was out late and theses men almost raped her, she was terrified until this gorgeous man named Jack came up and beat them up. she as so full of gratitude, she invited him over. they talked and from then on they were very close friends, even though he didn't talk much.
at first it seemed he wanted nothing to do with her, but then he softened, and was very kind to her. eventually they sort of started dating-"
"what the hell do you mean sort of?" Juliet snapped. after a warning glare from me, she huffed and fell back into her seat.
"anyway, as i was saying, they sort of started dating, then one day, mom realized she wasn't feeling well. and that her stomach seemed bigger. she shared her concerns with Jack and he was immediately concerned. he had to tell her his biggest secret, that he was a vampire."
juliet gasped and widened her eyes "NO!"
" yes, and since they had been dating, they of course *ahem* you know- did stuff that couples do-"
"yeah yeah we get it they had sex" Juliet rolled her eyes
Darrin chuckled and i just ignored her. " since they slept together, mom found out she was pregnant, and since he was a vampire, she was distressed and threw him out, saying he never wanted to see his face again. trouble is, humans aren't compatible for vampire babies, so she died giving birth to us. our father immediately came though the door, having respected mom's wishes, and whisked us off to his house to raise us. since we were half vampire, we grew incredibly fast and had a hunger for blood. then one night, men came looking for us, saying we'd be the most powerful of them all. dad fought for us but he was being defeated, he asked a close companion to take us, erase our memories, and put us in an orphanage."
"WHY WOULD HE DO THAT!" juliet asked, outraged.
" because those men were the elders, they are the only kind that tell prophecies, that are ALWAYS right."
juliet gasped, "NO!"
And it was then when the realization hit me. There's no other option. I mentally groaned and wished there was some other way, but I knew deep inside that there wasn't. I nodded my head somberly, giving Darrin the signal. He rushed behind her and snapped her neck
" Yes..."
