Sky waited in her cell for a good hour before the man who bought her came to get her. He unlocked the cell without saying a word. He hooked a chain link to her cuffs and led her out. He had a short-trimmed beard, which was snow white. His hair was white, where he had it.
I sat in the back if his wagon tied to a wooden plank. He clicked his horse into a trot. Under the circumstances the ride was beautiful. The bay horse who pulled the squeaky carriage had such an air about him it made you think he was the king. He would hold his head up high and lift his feet to his knees.
What really caught skys eyes were the mans clothes. He wasn't just wearing a nice suit, but he was wearing the most expensive kind you could find with a nice hat and a pair of spectacles. His horse's harness was nicer than the carriage and stood out like a diamond in the ruff.
Sky looked up to see them turn onto a dirt road. She gapped at what was before her. This wasn't a big house, this was a mansion. It's fields were imacculate, and the stables were beautiful.
The man in the suit pulled up to a stop in front of the house and immediately a young man ran up to them.
"Hello, Sir Joe. How are you today?" The young man bowed down in front of Sir Joe. Sky noticed that all of the servants, and slaves she had seen wore the same things. The boys black pants, a white longsleeve shirt with suspenders, a black hatand black boots. The girls in black and white maid dresses, white bonnets and black bell shoes.
sir Joe unhooked her from her chains. He walked her way from The Carriage. "Alright, you will work for my wife. And you wil do anything she wants. Don't ask questions. I'm you will take care of my kids starting tomorrow." The man added, "You work here with dignity we treat you with dignity." He led her to the porch.
This might turn out okay, at least it started out okay.
