Tears not quite threatening to form,
I was distraught,
Beyond words.
Noise drowned my mind so I could only express it through silence.
Silence.
Smiling,
"It'll be okay," they said to me.
They said to me,
And said to me.
Until I could breathe.
Through lungs no longer choked by doubt.
Doubt.
It had been doubt and something more that filled my mind and silenced me.
But they said to me
And said to me.
"It'll be okay," they said to me
