I quickly stood up, my eyes scanning the piles of stuff for my new boots. I grabbed them, straightening my sweater and picking up a pile of clothes. I bolted up the stairs and to my room, throwing the sweater off along with my dress that I had worn for almost 4 days. After I put together my outfit, I went into the kitchen and ran the hot water. I put my head underneath it and started to wash it out.

I threw my hair up in a towel to dry, and then put on my jeans that a lady that lives down the street gave me. Next, I pulled the sweater back on with my boots.

"What now?" I said to myself, looking around.

I snapped and walked to my room, grabbing a backpack and walking back to the piles and boxes. As I put other clothes and shoes into the bag, I heard noises outside. Someone walked up the front porch stairs and knocked on the door.

"Hello? Miss Winters?" a Sector 8 voice chimed.

I laid down the backpack and opened the door slightly, peeking my head outside, "How may I help-"

A girl about my height was standing at my door with a box in her hands. She was wearing a very... loud outfit. Her hair was put into a French braid and had been colored rainbow at the tips. She was wearing a white, short dress that looked similar to a wedding dress, but instead of a veil, she had a small top hat on the side of her head. I scanned her with wide eyes as she smiled politely.

"-you?..." I finished.

"I'm Gweneth Elizabeth James Styles from Sector 8. Pleased to meet you." she said.

I nodded with my mouth slightly opened. "Uh-huh. Go on."

"I overheard my father and the Captain discussing your mother's sad departure. On me and my brother's behalf, I wanted to give you a gift of sympathy." she said, pushing the box toward me.

I eyed her for a few more seconds before I took the box from her, opening it and looking inside. I gasped and pulled out the golden chain that held a sapphire on it.

"Wooooah..." I cooed and put it over my head.

"Don't you just love it? I was going to keep it for myself put them I heard about you and I just couldn't keep it."

I nodded, "Thank you, Miss..." I paused, waiting for her last name.

"James Styles."

I raised an eyebrow at her and finished my sentence, "...James Styles."

She smiled and took the box back, "Have a nice day, Alexandria." she said.

She began to walk back to her car, which was the same black car I followed two days ago, before I stopped her.

"Miss James Styles?" I asked.

She turned toward me and smiled again, "Yes?"

"A-are you going past the marketplace to get back to HQ? I need to go find a friend there and it's just so far away and-"

She stopped me, "Of course! Come on then, let's hurry. I have to get back before lunch." she said and opened the car door.

I smiled, "Thank you again!"

I quickly walked back inside and grabbed the rest of the clothes, shoving them in the backpack and putting my jacket on. After I grabbed the rest of my money, I jogged to the car and slowly got inside beside Gweneth.

I looked around inside the limo. It was gorgeous.

"Nice, isn't it? You Old Illinois people sure know how to treat people right. Well, for poor people anyway."
