Walk

There was a board on top a plastic fold up table.
A wooden frame containing chicken wire with mini colorful clothes pins and scattered foam butterflies.
In every butterfly, in every notecard, a name, a sentence, a word that described a persons reason of being alive today.
In my notecard I wrote your name.
I walked for you today.
I did something for myself and walked for me as well.
I hope you were proud of me that day.
I volunteered that day wearing colored beaded necklaces with each color symbolizing a difference meaning.
I wore blue, to support the cause, green, a person struggle, teal, having a friend or family member who struggled, purple, loss of a friend or family member.

Your favorite colour was purple.
I see why.
It's beautiful just like you.
