Chapter 10

soooo I'm in a really good mood seen as 5sos have just done a twitcam, and I have a new playlist to listen to while writing which I might listen what I listened to while writing this at the end of chapter and I really hope you like this because you'll be finding out Luke's mystery past with Chantelle -E

- Eve's P.O.V-

I practically speed walk down the side walk, just walking, anywhere. I hadn't a clue where my feet were taking me. I don't want to be let down again, not like Kyle let me down. I don't want to be that hurt again, I can't get that hurt again.

I carry on walking, words of mine and my mother's argument going through my head. My finial word's before storming out the door, telling her not to build my hopes up by saying shit like that for me to be disappointed.

I feel a tear roll down my cheek and to my lips, the taste of salt sparking over my taste buds.

Before I met Luke, I did like him, as in like like. But I thought it was some stupid fangirl crush, but now I've met him and went to the diner with him, talking to him for hours endless. I knew for a fact, it wasn't just a crush. It was real. The butterflies when I saw him, were real, when he touched me, goosebumps appeared. I can't help but smile when I think of him.

 People must think I'm crazy, hurrying down a street crying one minute and smiling the next. But whatever.

I look at the path as I carry on walking to wherever my feet take me, as fast as I can, but I bump into someone, knocking me onto the floor.

'Hey watch I- Eve?' Luke. Great, here's going to see me looking like some erotic freak.

'Oh hey Luke..' I look up at him with a smile, as he helps me up.

'Are you alright, you landed with quite a bump.. sorry' a grin sneaks across his face, obviously replaying in his head me falling right onto my arse in the middle of the street.

'yeah i'm fine, are you okay? you don't see in the best of moods' He was going to be rude before he realised it was me.

'Yeah.. No.. I don't know..' He obviously isn't then.

'Well I'm going for a walk to escape my mother and her idiotic thoughts. Would you care to join me? and tell me what wrong? you don't have to if you don't want to of course' Of course he wouldn't want to.

'Yeah sure, and you can tell me about your mothers apparent idiotic thoughts' a soft chuckle sneaks from between his lips. We take a different direction from the ways both of us were walking, to prevent walking back to where we came from, leading us to the park.

'So what's happened with you?' I enquire, he does seem to be in the weirdest of moods.

'Well..' He begins, he explains for the next 6 minutes, as we sit on the park bench. He pauses and takes a breath, and carries on.

'Then when me and Calum were alone.. he asked me if I liked you. And I said that I do. Because Eve, I do like you, even though we've only spent a short time knowing each other, I fall for you more and more every time we talk. But carrying on..Calum told me to be careful. Because of my last relationship. And we got into an argument about it all and I stormed out'

Luke likes me? This can't be real.

What happened in his last relationship?

What the hell do I ask him first?

'What happened in your last relationship?' I guess I'll be asking that first.

'I was dating this girl called Chantelle, it was going really good. Meeting at the same backstreet bar twice a week. Each day she came  with a new bruise, weather it be on her cheek, eye, wrist, forearm. There was always a new one. One day, I went to meet Chantelle, and I found out in the alleyway leading up to the bar shoved up again a wall with the guy in her face, yelling, I kept walking towards them. And he hit her'

This man hit a girl?

- Luke's P.O.V -

'..And he hit her.'

I take a breath and close my eyes.

'I saw this and ran towards her. Shouting the odds at this stranger who just hit my girlfriend. I told him to get off her and he asked me who I am, so I introduced myself to him, and Chantelle's boyfriend, returning his question with the same to him. He anger struck through and told me that he's infact Chantelle's boyfriend and that I was the one Chantelle had been cheating on him with, he'd been sleeping with her for weeks, but we'd been together for 6 months. He just seemed to get more and more angry, until he hit me, causing me to fall to the ground, where he continued to kick me, repeatedly, occasionally punching me. He left me unconscious, and I was found. Waking up in hospital days later. It turns out it was her ex boyfriend, called Aiden Showfield, he was possessive of her, an abusive relationship, she eventually left him but he still claimed her as his, she hid herself from him, until he found her. When he found her he made her have sex with him even when she was in a relationship with me, otherwise he'd get abusive again.'

Flashbacks of the day went through my mind, I could taste the blood in my mouth, that I tasted that day, 18 months ago. I could feel the pain in my stomach of being kicked, like I did.

I look up at Eve. Whose eyes were full of tears, before I knew it, her arms flung around me, pulling me into a tight hug.

'It's okay Luke, you won't get hurt here' She whispers in to my ear.

She pulls away a while later, looking into my eyes, and my eyes looking into hers.

'I did mean it though, about liking you. I like you a lot Eve, I have since that night in the diner, when we began singing along to Bon Jovi in an empty diner'

We both giggle, remembering that night.

'I like you too Luke.. alot'

I knew from then on, that this was definite, I do like her, she likes me. I had nothing to worry about.

I walk her back home, it's getting dark once again.

'I'd like to get to know you better Eve.'

'And I you Luke.'

'Until Wednesday we wait then'
