"so oliver tell me exactly how this all started." the psychiatrist said gazing at him with a notepad and pen in her hand.
"this is the day i could never forget, ok so i was on my way home from working night shift." he began, getting comfortable in his seat.
flashback - october 2, 2012
"If I told you that I loved you."
"Tell me what would you say."
"If I told you that hated you."
"Would you go away."
The nbhd sang as I drove home with my windows down, wind blowing against my shaven face.
I gently nodded my head to the music letting the words consume me.

"oliver i don't see what that has to do with anything." the psychiatrist said, gently tapping her pen on the notepad.
"leanne it is very rude to interrupt people." oliver huffed.
"im sorry please continue." the lady said smiling sweetly.
"now where was i."
flashback - october 2, 2012
after pulling up to my one story house I grabbed my jacket and shut the car off getting out.
"conner!! get the hell away from me." a girl yelled walking on the sidewalk, with an ugly beat up car driving beside her.
"no mason get in the fucking car." the guy yelled out his rolled down window.
"get in here now or im leaving your ass." conner huffed getting even more frustrated.
"go ahead and leave me im not getting in there with you." mason said, her bare feet pounding on the pavement.
"fine have it you way." conner mumbled speeding off.
"you fucking pig." mason yelled breaking down, completely oblivious to the stranger watching her every move.
walking towards the beautiful girl he gently tapped her "are you ok ma'am?".
"no im not as you can see." she spat, making oliver take a step back.
"im sorry i didn't mean to sound so harsh." mason said sighing.
"its fine, but look i don't mean to sound rude or anything but why were you and that guy arguing at like 1 in the morning." god i hope she doesn't cuss me out. oliver thought hopefully.
"well this morning i had found out he stole from me then he tried to play it off like he didn't." mason said eyes filling with anger once again.
"how much did he steal?" oliver asked taking a seat next to her on the cold pavement.
"$25,000 dollars." she stated eyes filling with tears.
"wow, what the hell." he whispered, bringing her sobbing form to his chest.
"all the money I worked for, gone down the drain." rubbing her eyes she moved her head from his chest and mumbled a quick sorry.
"its fine, sometimes people just need a shoulder to cry on." oliver smiled.
"this may sound weird but do you mind if I stay over?" mason asked, discomfort laced in her voice.
"yeah sure its no problem." mason smiled glad that she wouldn't have to walk home all by herself at 1 in the morning.
"thank you." standing up she brushed her but off and reached out to help oliver up too.
"thank you." he blushed walking to his front door.
grabbing the keys from his pocket he unlocked the front door and walked in, with mason following after him.
