─ background: ✦ Namjoon was born in Illsan, to the family of a famous university professor and his colleague. His father and mother were having a secret affair, even though their workplace forbade such relations between colleagues. Shortly before Namjoon was born, his father demanded that they give him up for adoption rather than raise him and claimed "Scientists aren't meant to raise children." Namjoon's mother refused and after a massive argument, his father took the position at Yale he had been offered. Therefore Namjoon was born without knowing his father and being only raised by his mother. She, a successful woman in her own right, opened a private school. She was already wealthy since she came from old money. As students started joining the school, she enrolled her own son and demanded he make her proud by always being number one. She raised him to be studious, always put work first. A few months before the start of his next year at school, his mother told him who his father was and he demanded to see him. When he came to his father's office, information and all, his father flat out told him :" I never had a child, nor will I ever have one."
─ personality: ✦ Namjoon is honest, intelligent and quirky guy. He has some weird habits, like drinking a cup of coffee at exactly 12 am or sitting with one leg under himself. He is intelligent, a quick thinker and problem solver, often outsmarting his peers. He can be a little awkward (especially around new people), blurting out random facts and trivias, but can also be sassy about himself. He doesn't really get into activities though, since he is mainly laser focused on studying. He has a leader instinct, with a talent for strategy.
