My past,my present and my future

Sarah's pov

It's been three years since I left Madrid and came to live in America with my mom. I haven't seen the team since that day, that day that I will always remember. That was the hardest decision of my life. It all happened when James,Marcelo and Isco took me out. I had a great time with them at the park and we played a bit of football , and ate a lot of ice cream and sweets. It was amazing. I was happy and at that moment I forgot all about my problems but I knew on the inside that something was up. I just had a weird feeling inside that I couldn't shake off. I just couldn't. The guys were kind of hinting a surprise party or surprise intervention that Cristiano planned and so on, which I was happy about but something else kept on bugging me. Little did I know that it had something to do with my mother.
Flashback
" Listen Rafa, I gave you permission to let my daughter play for the club and now I'm telling you to fire her!"yelled my mother.
"I can't do that, unless her contract ends or the president of the club wants her gone or if she quits or gets another offer!"Rafa yelled back.
"Make her quit! Make her life miserable at the stadium! Make her decide whether she will stay or not! If you don't so help me!!"said my mother and slammed the phone.
End of flashback.

My mother was a horrible person for doing that. Luckily Rafa had followed my mothers orders and ordered the team to do so. Cristiano hesitated and argued until Rafa told him about who ordered it. Cause Cristiano was my BFF he came over to my house later on after he cancelled the meeting or whatever he had planned.

Knock knock
"Who is it!"I yelled.
"Me,Cristiano!"he replied.
"Hey what's up?" I ask.
"Hey nothing.....I just wanted to talk to you."he said and so I let him in. We spoke about random stuff and then he finally told me about what my mother had done. I was shocked beyond words. I was about to phone her when he grabbed the phone and said "You have to decide on what you want! You have to leave us and go with your mother or stay here and watch what she does! You can either stay here with me or leave with your mother! But you have to decide!"he said as his voice broke with every word he said.
"How can you make me decide Cristiano between the team and my own mother?" I asked. "Don't argue Sarah and just decide it's not that hard!!!"he yelled. I begin to tear up because I have never met this side of him. "I pick.....my mother. There is no way that I can forget her and stay here because of you guys!"I say back crying. "I'll hand in my resignation form tomorrow."I said and with that he stood up and walked out. I was left crying alone in my own apartment after my best friend fought with me.

In his defense he was just following orders right. I don't  blame him because he clearly thought the situation through before he came and argued with me. He manipulated me. I understand why too. My mother was prepared to file a case against Real Madrid and the staff. We couldn't let that happen so he did what he had to do to protect everyone. He chased me out. The USA is alright but I will never forget where I came from and what I had to do to get there. I don't play football anymore which I hate. This is because I know what my mother is capable of doing if we have to leave again. And until today she doesn't know that I know what she did. I can tell you now that my future is looking full of surprises and one day I will return to Madrid and fulfill my dream but until then I need to focus on school and another career just in case I don't fulfill my dream. You know what's the funny part even though I don't see the team that often we still keep in touch. I hear that they are doing terrible without me. Just kidding they always do great. Anyway I gotta get to ballet class so bye.
