I saw you there
You just sat
This intelligent look upon your face
You traced the paint on your skateboard with long fingers
The holes in you shirt revealing tanned skin
Your blonde hair formed a tousled mop by your cheeks
You didn't do anything remotely interesting
Yet I was mesmerised
Your knowing eyes were oh so welcoming
I fell into a puddle of infatuation
And you were there too
Swimming alongside me peacefully
Enjoying the feeling
I suppose I should have done the same
For the feeling vanished so suddenly
I drowned in that puddle of peace
And slowly sunk into the depths of heartbreak
