Abby
I stood at on the stage wearing my overly expensive dress that I found on my bed. "Ahh welcome all." I spoke in an awkward tone I don't know what to say. I didn't understand why, I mean, I've performed in front of thousands of people, but now I'm not sure how to be in front of these people. I was doing it on my own, I think that is the problem. I would normally, have Meghan and Reece with me and our backup dancers now, I'm standing here on my own in a period I have no idea. "Ahh, the first one is power." I continued, looking over at the bar where Frank my boss stood behind it, wiping the bar.

I looked around as the music began playing. "Hold up, no, you didn't bow, bow." I started, taking ahold of the microphone stand. "I ain't the chick to walk behind you around town, just 'cause you're packin', packin', whoop, down South, that don't mean I'm ever gonna take it lying down, baby, oh." I turned to the door, seeing the Port Roses come in. My nerves increased a little when I saw them come in, the leader in front and had a cigar in his mouth, making me think of Charlie Sheen, who I had to remind myself wasn't born yet, I think anyways.

I turned back to the crowd. "I'm a machine when I do it, I'll be catching fire, gasoline when I do it." I twisted my head like Meghan does in the film clip, that wasn't out for another 64 years. "Uh-huh" I closed my eyes, immediately coming back. I just imagined my fans, the people who were there throughout it all. "Just 'cause you're packin', packin', whoop, down south." I continued, increasing the beat a bit, as I did the crowd started clapping, I looked at the leader of the Port Roses, seeing him smile. I then looked at Frank, who smiled and started clapping along. "That don't mean I'm ever gonna take it lying down, baby" I started swaying to the beat of the song.

"Baby, you're the man, but I got the, I got the, I got the power." I continued, as I heard the claps getting louder and more consistent. "You make rain, but I'll make it, I'll make it, I'll make it shower." I gave a small wave to the gentleman in front of me, who cat whistled me as I walked up on stage. "You should know, I'm the one who's in control, I'll let you come take the wheel, as long as you don't forget." I continued, and for the first time in a month, I smiled a genuine smile. I was happy and performing a song, that I barely remember the words to, which helped me become more comfortable with my surroundings. "Who got the power?" I paused, asking the audience to get them involved just like I used to do.

"You got the, we got the power." I smiled, as some women and a few gentlemen stood up swaying and having a good time. "You got the, we got the power, you got the, you got the power." Was chanted through the bar, it was for the first time since I've been here, it was packed there wasn't a single spare seat. "Hold up." I pointed the microphone phone towards the crowd and they continued, I smiled as I saw the member of the Port Rose shouting as well.

"My turn, I make this look easy." I slid down the microphone stand, looking at Frank who covered his eyes. "Tick tick boom like gasoline-y, yeah they call me Lamborghini." I smiled, standing up and swaying once again to the feel of the beat. "Cause I know just what I'm worth, Z-z-zero to hundred, B-b-body make' em stutter, Start my engine, push the button, Cause I'm gon' be coming first." I smiled, feeling myself on the stage, smiling at how much I've genuinely missed and loved being on the stage.
