Sunset Shimmer The Journey of Friendship: The Adventure Begins.

Chapter 6

As Silver arrived in Ponyville he had two stops to make. The first was his promise to Princess Twilight to give her more details in that village. The second to him was a bit more important. It had been almost eight moons sense he last was in the area, and he knew if he did not make that stop a certain pony would be extremely upset with him.

Silver had decided that even though he needed to go to see Princess Twilight he would pay the other pony a visit first. He headed to the outermost part of Ponyville to a small house. As he walked up to the door, he didn't even get the chance to nock before the door was flung open by a little zebra filly, who rushed out and tackled him. "BIG BROTHER!" The little zebra filly could not contain her excitement.
"Hello, little one." Silver said as he patted her on the head with his wing.

"Now Joy. Could you let Silver up now?" The voice of a silver coated pegasus mare came from the entrance of the home.
"Hey mom." Silver responded to her. "I'm home." Joy got up off of Silver and he sat up.
"Well don't just sit there. Get over here and give your mom a hug." This came from the stallion standing right behind her. His sky blue coat and old time hat stood out.
"Coming dad." Silver said this with a smirk on his face knowing his dad was just being funny. Silver got up and gave his mom and dad a big hug with his front hooves. The whole time being followed by little Joy.

"So got any good stories for me?" Little Joy asked.
"Now Joy. Let him get settled in first." His mom told her.
"Awwwww! But auntie Silver Light......" She said with her big puppy dog pout.
"No buts!" His dad responded.
"Ok Uncle Star Streak. Boo." She said pouting some, but she knew she would not get her way once he was involved.
"Don't worry little one. I have a tale for you, and I know you'll love it." Silver always one to keep her happy. After all he did love to tell a good story.

After entering the house he sat down and the four of them talked for a little while. His mom asking if he was eating alright. His dad asking if he had met any nice mares on his travels. The whole time Joy was just happy her Big Brother was home.
"So when do I get to hear my story?" Joy could not wait much longer.
"Well, I could tell you here. Or..... You could come with me to Princess Twilight and hear the story there?" He said this knowing what she would say. After all Princess Twilight was her favorite.

"PRINCESS TWILIGHT! PRINCESS TWILIGHT!" She could not contain her excitement on this. "I get to see her and Spike. Yay!"
"Ok ok. Calm down a little bit Joy." Star told her.
"Are you sure it will be ok for her to come along?" His mom asked.
"It will be fine. I will keep her out of trouble. Besides she always behaves when we go out, right?" He looked down at the little Filly.
"Yes. I will be a good girl for my Big Brother." Joy responded with out a moment's hesitation.
"Ok. I guess she can go. Not like we would be able to stop you any way." His dad said.
"I promise I will bring her home before it gets too late. After all I am spending the night here."
This comment made his mom and dad happy. It was nice to have their son home. Even if only for a little while. The two headed out for Princess Twilight's castle, Silver ready to be interviewed by the princess, and Joy happy to meet her favorite princess of all.
