Sunset Shimmer The Journey of Friendship: The Adventure Begins.

Chapter 14

As Silver arrived back to Canterlot Castle he was greeted by Princess Luna once more.
"Hello your Highness!" He bowed in respect as always.
"Hello, Silver. My sister would like a word with you in the morning." Luna stated not wanting to waste any time.
"If that is a request from one of the Princesses, than I will heed her summon." He said as he raised his head.
"Now Silver, I see you have a new wing, and take it that you are ready to continue your travels?" She said as they reentered the Castle.
"Yes Princess, I must get back to my journey."
"Than I take it you will leave in the morning?"
"Yes. After I am done with what Princess Celestia is asking of me, I will head out."
"Than get some rest. We will see you in the morning as you are ready to head out."

Silver headed back to his room where he met up with Sunset as she was getting ready to enter her own room.
"I see you made it back ok Silver." Sunset said as she got to her room.
"Yes. And thanks once more for everything." Silver responded.
The Two of them had a quick chat before the Two of them entered their rooms to call it a night.

The day light came, and with it a new day. Silver awoke and got his saddle bag ready before heading to the dining room. He approached the room to overhear Princess Celestia and Sunset Shimmer talking. The door was too thick to make it out, so he proceeded inside.
"What did I do wrong." He heard Sunset asked Celestia.
"No my child. You misunderstand." Celestia answered. "You see, this will only help you to grow. Hello Silver, I am glad you are here."
Silver bowed as he always does. "You called your Highness?"
"Yes. I understand that you have traveled most of Equestria now, correct?"
"Most yes, and some outside as well."
"Silver, I would like to ask a favor of you."
"Princess?" Sunset spoke up. "What about what we were talking about?"
"This is about that Sunset." She responded to the question leaving Silver a little confused. "You will understand soon."
"You want me to leave Canterlot? What do I need to understand?"
"I want you to grow. You see, it is still more than 20 moons till the next time the portal can be opened safely. Due to this you should do what you can while you are here."

"But I?" Sunset was cut off by Silver.
"Sunset, please understand. What she says is true. As somepony who has been traveling for some time here is a lot to see out there." Silver informed her.
"I am glad you feel that way Silver." Princess Celestia continued. "I would be most pleased if you would allow Sunset to join you on your travels for the next several moons."
"WHAT!?" Sunset and Silver both a little confused at this.
"Your Highness, I have always traveled alone?." Silver inquired.
"And I have stayed here as to learn from you my teacher." Came Sunset still confused.
"And this is why I feel this would be good for the two of you." Celestia was quick to respond. "You see I believe that this will allow you to learn more than I can by just staying here. Also, I do believe that this will be better for you Silver, as you have been alone for the most part, and it would be ideal for you to finally have a companion."
"If this is your wish your Highness, I understand." Silver said with a bit of concern in his voice. "After all, I have seen you can handle yourself with a lot of what I see."
"What are you talking about?" Sunset asked him. "If not for me and Twilight, you would have been Timber wolf food."
"So it is decided than." Celestia stated. "You can leave when you are ready."
"Yes your Highness." Silver said bowing to her.
"Yes teacher." Sunset said reluctantly.

The two left and headed back to there rooms. As they headed there Sunset still doubted that it would be a good idea to leave and travel.
"I promise, you will be ok on this journey." Silver voiced to Sunset to ease her mind.
"That is not the problem." Sunset responded. "I just....." before she finished her thoughts trailed off.
"It's just you have stayed here in this area for the last few moons." Silver continued her thoughts. "Also, from what I can tell is you want to be here when this 'portal' opens back up. I am not going to ask, as I told you when we first met, 'that is your story and you can tell me if you want to'. But I will make you this promise, she said it would be 20 moons till it opens. I WILL, on my honor, have you back in time. Besides, what are yo going to do around here?"
This put some ease to Sunset. The idea that he was giving his word to have her back in time did seem to comfort her.
"Thank you Silver. That does sound good. So what do I need?" She asked of Silver.
"Just what you need. We will be traveling by hoof a lot, so take the essentials."

She entered her room as Silver did his. After about thirty minutes the two of them exited their rooms.
"Ready?" Silver asked.
"As I will ever be." Sunset answered.
The two of them proceeded to the entrance to the castle to be greeted by three princesses, Twilight, Celestia, and Luna all came to see them off.
"So, you two are ready for your long journey Sunset?" Twilight asked.
"Yeah I guess so." Still some what hesitant.
"Here." Twilight handed her two books. The first was the book that allowed her to communicate with her friends in the other world. The other a book that had Twilight's cutie mark on it. "That will allow you to keep in touch with me if you need too."
This was more than enough to bring a smile to Sunset's face.
"So you two are off. Be safe and we will be ready when you return." Princess Luna said with respect in her voice. She understood her sister's thoughts.
"We will be back in eighteen moons." Silver said to them.
"Very good." Came Celestia.
"Well shall we get going?" Silver asked as he reached back to Sunset.
"Yeah." She answered quickly and the two were off on there travels.
