"She... she... she... Rory that's not funny! You can't joke at a time like this." The Doctor said. He saw the look on Rory's face and understood he was not joking. "But... how? That's not even possible.. I... I... TARDIS. Now." Amy and Rory understood immediately. They headed towards the TARDIS. Clarissa started coughing up the water. When she was finished, the Doctor asked her a question. "Are you human?"
Clarissa looked at him like he was crazy. "WHAT? Of course I'm human! Always have, always will."
"Can I see your hand...erm.. please?" He asked. Clarrissa complied and gave him her hand. The Doctor checked her pulse, eyes widening. "Clarissa, you have two hearts..."
"What? I do not! The doctor's would of told me--"
"I already have."
"Oh, dont be a smart-aleck" She said with a smile, then it turned into a frown. "I don't believe you." She simply said.
"Well then, follow me! To the TARDIS, and I have some questions to ask you." He said, holding out his hand. Clarissa took it.
In the TARDIS the Doctor ran up to the screen. He typed a few things onto the keyboard. Clarissa walked up to see what he was doing. Her eyes widened at what was on the screen. The TARDIS scanned her body, and very well showed she was Timelord.
"Clarissa, has anything odd happened lately?" The Doctor asked her.
"Yes... well when you set the TARDIS in flight... my vision blacked out. I felt all tingly, as if an electric shock went through my body. Oh Doctor, I saw horrible things. Planets burning, people screaming..." She replied. The Doctor scanned her once again. He was examining her profile as she sat down on the floor. She put her head in her hands.
She couldn't take it. She just met the Doctor. She was apparently Timelord. She sat there, not knowing what was real anymore... Clarissa suddenly woke up. Woke up? She had been asleep! She looked up to see the Doctor staring at her with sympathy. Clarissa cleared her throat.
"Right! Yes, I know what has happened to you. You see, the humans in your parallel world act differently to time travel. The time vortex, it was as if it looked into you, and turned you... well... timelord. Those things you saw were major events in the time stream." He explained.
"But... won't I hear drums? The four beats? If I looked into the time vortex? Just like the Master did." She asked.
"No, the time vortex looked into you." He said. "The Master looked into the time vortex, the time vortex looked into you."
