Chapter 1

Athena Hunter

Oh what a lovely day it is today--! Who am I kidding, it's a weekday, we have school, it is a terrible day already. Lovely day? Who says that?

I finally finished with the paper work and decided to start studying for my exam in Physics.

I haven't even started yet and it's already tomorrow! What am I going to do?! I can't wait to graduate.

Me and my cramming habits.

I carefully read all the pages that would be covered in the exam, the enormous knowledge was making my head overload. I was starting to get a headache.

At least I was listening to Ms. Parkinson the entire discussion time.

Suddenly my mode of studying was disturbed by a quiet knock. Knowing who exactly it is by his scent, I told Leroy to come in.

"Hey, I just thought you'd might like some snacks while you were studying. Big test tomorrow right?" He smiled, putting a grilled-cheese sandwich with honey and basil right on my desk.

"Oh so you were listening?" I teased, staring at the food, "It looks delicious."

"Thank you madam, would you like anything else my lady?" He asked with a terrible accent, bowing down.

I started laughing, making him smile.

"That was terrible!"

"It was not!"

I only shook my head, digging into the delicious goodness that he had made. It was his special dish, and he knew that I loved it. I just started stuffing my face with food.

"Thank you for the food, now get out and stop distracting me from my study time!" I said, playfully shooing him out.

He frowned.

"That's just mean. I'm hurt." He pouted, obviously joking.

"Aww. Does little Leroy want his bottle?" I teased in a baby voice.

"Look who's talking, keep studying Athena, you'll get there." He encouraged, gently closing the door until a soft click was heard.

"Hey! I'm not a baby! You hear me?!" I yelled back playfully, only to get his chuckles as a response.

I smiled at the door, being grateful of what a thoughtful Beta he was, we were always like brother and sister.

I suddenly heard my phone let out my ringtone, informing me of a text message.

'Hey Athena, how's studying going?' My best friend, Darren, asked.

'Depressing. You? I bet your already done with it. Am I right?' I texted back.

'Just reviewing, remember to eat food to keep up your energy, and drink lots of water so you won't get dehydrated.' He reminded.

"Yeah. Moooom I know. Ttyl."

'You know you always say that you'll talk later, but you never do that.'
