The Ambassador from Pluto

"Nico," Hades said. 

"Yes Father?" Nico replied. 

"Hera is planing something with the Roman camp. I want you to find out if the Romans know anything about it and even if they don't I want you to insinuate yourself into the Roman camp so that you know as soon as Hera starts whatever it is she's going to do," Hades said. 

"Yes Father," Nico said and retreated to his room where he called on a Roman ghost to help him figure out a good cover.

"We'll have to send someone to talk to Pluto about the sudden influx in monsters," Centurion Gwen said. 

"That will hardly be necessary," said a young man wearing a black tunic and toga and a wreath of cypress leaves. 

"Who are you?!" Praetor Jason asked urgently. Nico just smiled and gestured at the lares who were all kneeling respectfully. 

"I'm the Ambassador from Pluto. I am also his son," he said simply. 

"Why does Pluto send an ambassador?" Praetor Reyna asked. 

"Because Thanatos is missing. We fear he may have been captured, but as we have yet to locate him we don't know for sure. I am also here to provide you with access to my information network. I have been briefed as to what you are allowed to know and what secrets must remain that way so if I decline to answer a question it is something someone more scary than me wants to keep quiet so it's probably a good idea to drop it. Anything you want to know that hasn't been forbidden you may ask and if I don't know the answer I will certainly look for it," Nico said. 

"Very well Ambassador you may sit in that seat there and we shall certainly take you up on your offer. Will you be joining the Legion?" Reyna asked. 

"No, and I won't be staying for very long at any one time. A week at a time at most," Nico said and watched the senate relax somewhat as he sat down. 

"Now that that question has been answered do we have any other business to attend to ...?"
