~{Libby's POV}~

My best friend Ian had been broken up with his girlfriend of 3 years, Maddie for nearly a week and a half. He has been acting really weird and he still hasn't told me why he broke up with her. They were so happy, well at least I thought they were. I decided to call him and ask what was up.

But when I called him he didn't answer the phone. Maddie did!

"Oh, hi Mad... is Ian there?"

"No. No he's not. And if he wants his phone he'll have to come and get it."

"Oh... ok. Bye then" she hung up straight away. Ok that was weird. At this point I knew I had to go and see him.

I arrived at his house and knocked on the door. It took him a while but he finally answered.

"Oh... hey, Lib. Whats up?" he sighed

"I came to ask you the same thing! What happened with Maddie?"

"I'd rather not talk about it..." he shook his head. I gave him a look an he automatically explained.

"Okay, fine... come in" we both walked inside and sat on opposite ends of the sofa. "Well... we were watching a movie and she put her head on my shoulder and we were just hugging on the sofa. She leaned into my ear and said 'I love you Ian' then instead of saying 'I love you too Maddie' I said.. your name..."

I looked at him with wide eyes "What do you mean?"

"I mean that instead of saying "I love you too Maddie' I said 'I love you too Libby'... thats why we broke up" he shrugged

"Is it true?" I asked

"What?"

"Is it true... What you said?" I repeated

"Of course. I love you libby..."

I leaned across the sofa, cupped his face in my hands and kissed him.

"I love you too Ian" we both smiled at each other and spent the rest of the day in each others arms.
