Fred Weasley and his twin George were sitting in their normal places at the Gryffindor table watching the first years get sorted.
The last to get sorted was a beautiful girl with fiery ginger hair and pale skin, a smattering of freckled across her nose.
"She's not a first year" Fred said and his twin whistled in agreement.
When her name was revealed Fred was a bit disappointed to be honest. His spirits were picked up again when she was sorted into Gryffindor.
She smiled making her way over to the table where she sat alone.
"She hasn't got the classic Malfoy hair" Ron said scratching under his chin.
"She's also in Gryffindor, every Malfoy there ever was, was sorted into Slytherin" Hermione told them.
"There's something different about her," Fred muttered staring at the beautiful girl sitting one at the end of the Gryffindor table.

When she had snapped back at lavender he gained a large amount of respect for her.
That's why he woke up early in the morning to see if he could catch her- talk to her and maybe even persuade her to go to hogsmede with him.
He walked down the steps to the common room to see Mia sprawled out on the sofa asleep and looking like the most adorable human being Fred Weasley had ever seen.
He shook her shoulder gently to wake her up and her beautiful eyes fluttered open. Up close he could see how beautiful and vibrant her green eyes were.
"Wake up Mia," Fred whispered and she sat up rubbing her eyes. "Uhh hi" Mia said flushing red and transfiguring her pyjamas into the Gryffindor robes.
"Wow could you do that for me? Would save a lot of bloody time," Fred laughed. Mia wordlessly transfigured Fred's bright orange pyjamas into Gryffindor robes.
"Cheers" Fred smiled sitting next to her on the sofa. "Why weren't you sleeping with the other 5th year girls?" Fred asked curiously.
"Don't think someone like me would be welcomed with tea and scones" Mia said sarcastically.
"Feisty" Fred laughed and Mia smirked. "Like a dragon," Fred whispered. "Well this dragon bites" Mia said snapping her teeth playfully.
"I bet you do," He laughed not realising most of Gryffindor had filed into the common room by now. However Mia Rose noticed.
"I'm going to get breakfast, you coming?" Mia asked throwing her bag on her back and going towards the door. "You're asking me? To come with you? To breakfast?" Fred stuttered.
"No I'm asking that nail on the floor behind you," Mia laughed walking out of the common room, Fred rushing after her.
They sat down at the table and Mia grabbed herself a full English breakfast and so did Fred.
"I thought girls just ate fruit for breakfast" Fred commented. "Well I guess I'm not a girl then," Mia teased.
"Definitely a girl," Fred smirked looking down to her chest. "Why you cheeky.." Mia stared and slapped Fred upside the head.
She saw the teacher introduced as Remus Lupin smirking at the pair of them and she smiled kindly at him.
"So what have you got first?" Fred asked rubbing his head. "Charms," Mia said with a smile. "Me too" Fred smiled.
"Walk together then?" Mia asked finishing off her breakfast at the same time as Fred. "Or... we could do something else" Mia smirked.
"Like what?" Fred asked smirking at the mischievous look in her eyes. She raised her wand and discretely waved it at Snape smothering giggles as his hair turned bright pink.
"Who was that? It was you" Snape shouted pointing to them. Fred and Mia burst out laughing and couldn't stop even when he took house points away from them.
"You're something else," Fred said intrigued. "I'm an enigma Fred Weasley" Mia said. "Is that a challenge Miss Malfoy?" Fred asked and Mia nodded.
"Challenge accepted", Fred grinned roguishly and they set of to their first class.
