"If you live to be 100, I want to live to be 100 minus one day so I would never have to live a day without you."
- Winnie the PoohAutumn Walks
Part 1 of 4 in the Seasons SeriesChristopher and Robin trudge forward on the muddy forest trail. Their fingers enlaced together as their rain boots crush the limp autumn leaves. A cool breeze brushes past them as the sun rises and the clouds begin to disperse.
The lovers walk in silence as the sun begins to tint the sky pink and orange. They gaze around, tall oak trees, warm coloured leaves, their scarves flapping in the morning wind.
Christopher's chocolate brown eyes meet Robin's emerald ones. Christopher smiles, showing his dimples while running his hand through his messy blonde hair. Robin smiles back, her circular glasses rest on her freckled nose that's tinted pink because of the weather. She fixes the beanie on her wavy auburn hair and looks away. How adorable, he thinks.
Living in a small town surrounded by forestry was great, Robin loves nature, especially since she was so used to the city life in London, the move she made with her mother two years ago was a fresh start.
They continue to walk quietly, neither of them speaking a word in their isolation for a few minutes before Christopher breaks the silence.
"What're you thinking about?" He asks, eyes grazing over her pale skin.
"Everything," she responds with her English accent and starts swinging their entangled hands.
"That's a little vague, isn't it?"
"Perhaps, but I really am," she fixes her long beige scarf.
"Really?
"Really. What about you?"
"What about me?"
"What're you thinking about?"
"The future," he shrugs as if it's no big deal, but inside, it terrifies him to no end.
"Me too," she nods.
"I thought you were thinking about everything," he rolls his eyes playfully.
