As I hopped off the bus, my worst fear came true. Everyone around me stared, many giving me greasy looks and some even stopping in their tracks to clarify it was really me standing right in front of them. 'Yes people, I'm back. You can stop the paparazzi now' I wanted to say, anything to stop the many pairs of eyes looking at me. Assessing me. Trying to look for signs on my arms, legs and skin of what happened to me. They couldn't find anything, so that continued some people to head back to class and for others, they'd simply snicker to their friends and walk in the opposite direction to me. 'Good' I said. 'Thank god.' Then as if my morning couldn't get any better, I spotted them. The two people I missed most in this world, three if I concluded Mia (which I do to a certain degree.) Lucy, Casey and Mia. 'Crap!' I thought to myself, panicking that they might see me and tried to shield my face from them. But by then, it was too late. Lucy stopped mid sentence and met my eyes. Tears fighting to break free, as if it hurt too much to even look at me; the memories beginning to flow back. Mia hadn't seen me yet, so when Lucy stopped talking she tugged at Lucy's arm, begging her to continue her story. Casey had the same expression as Lucy, which stung just as much receiving it a second time. Casey then tapped Mia on the shoulder and made a discrete point in my direction. Mia met my eyes as well, so now all three of them were looking at me. 'Oh god— I think I'm going to be sick' Lucy said and as she turned to go to the girls bathroom, Casey and Mia quickly following behind her. 'This is just perfect' I thought to myself again. I let them go, deciding it probably wasn't the right time to explain myself: and headed towards the office, where I received my timetable and locker number. Majority of my classes were in building C, the furtherest building to the left of the oval. This was where the science subjects mainly were; Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Psychology— you name it. I loved all of them, but my particular favourite was Psychology and to see that it was the first class on my timetable for the day made my encounter with the girls a lot easier to cope with. As I entered the classroom, I was relieved to see that my favourite teacher Mrs Bartocci was still teaching the subject. She greeted me politely when I walked in and allowed me to find my seat, reading that I didn't want to draw too much attention to my arrival back at school. The bell rang and class was about to start when I saw Mia walk past in the hall and say to someone 'It's going to be alright, we'll just see if she's really staying this time.' It was then I saw Lucy and Casey enter the classroom, my day just got bad again.
