I sat in the living room, smiling at the children playng on the floor. I picked up one of the babies and started playing with the todler. One of the elders rushed through the room almost knocking over a tower of blocks. I frowned and handed the baby over to one of the younger teens. I stormed into the kitchen smelling someone i knew instantly and didnt like that he was here. I searched frantically and finally found him. He was nodding his head to the eldest alpha. I snarled and my eyes were wild. I shifted and barked at the elders standing aroud my brother. He smirked and slowly turned to me. I stepped in front on of him cutting off the alpha. I snarled at him and barred my teeth in warning. The elder smiled and nodded backing away and pulling the others with him. I shifted back and my eyes were still wild. I turned to my brother and hugged him tightly. I felt his chest vibrate from his deep laugh.
"Good too see you too baby sissy." He wrapped his muscled arms around my shoulders and hugged me tightly. I began to weep into my brothers shirt. I thought he was dead. I heard him chuckle and i smiled and wiped my eyes and pulled back smiling widely.
"I-I thought you were dead." I said softly. He smiled sadly.
"I thought the same sissy." He said and hugged me again tightly like the ones that I knew when he was with me.
That was the problem. Alpha's even ones belonging to a pack had a hard time with showing sadness of weakness in front of anyone. Especially elders. When the alpha spoke softly my brother and I pulled away.
"Alex. He's a new wolf...I need your help Brielle. He's been badly hurt. He should never have strayed from his pack but like you....they abused the young lad. He won't talk to us....can you please help?" The alphas low voice spoke slow. I nodded kissing my brothers cheek. He smiled and walked back over to the elders who he was oringinally speaking too. I followed the alpha to a flight of stairs and sighed quiet. I regretted catching his attention.
"Something wrong dear?" he asked me. I swallowed"
"I-I don't really like stairs." I said blushing.
"Why not?" He asked. I heard the amusement. I frowned a little.
"I was thrown down the stairs many times with Andrew." I said softly. The alpha didn't respond. I think he might have been abused by his father. I couldn't speak for him though. He was a strong man with aquiline features. He was mysterious and had the will of a bear. He was a huge black wolf and I liked him the minute he accepted me into his home.
We walked down the hall to a room that held soft talking. I shivered involuntarily. I frowned and Luna. Was whimpering. She was happy. Like. In love happy. I wonder if Taylor was in the room. The alpha opened the door and I looked inside.
My heart stopped. Literally. It stopped along with everything else. My eyes met Alex's and we both shifted and howled at the same time. Completely In sync. He shifted back at the same time I did. We stood In the middle of the room just staring at each other.
"Luna..." he said softly. I glanced at the alpha who was staring wide-eyed at Alex and I.
"S-shadow....." I spoke softly. The name felt foreign on my tongue. But my heart told me I've known the name my entire life. Alex smiled a little.
"Hello mate."
