I smiled but quickly frowned. Luna yipped
"The hell?? Taylor's our mate!....right?" She practically screamed.
"YOU'RE THE DAMN WOLF! I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS SHIT!" I spoke. She growled and I growled back. I didn't know what I wanted. Taylor was made for Luna. Alex....he was made for me. I feel like I've known him my whole life.
"Luna?" The alpha was still star-struck in the doorway. Alex came towards me.
"I'm fine alpha. Do not tell Taylor yet." I looked into his eyes. "This is my mess. Understood?" He smiled and nodded. He stepped inside and Alex growled. A strong sound that was unbreakable. I fought the urge to smile. The alpha looked at me. I nodded and he shut the door behind him. I looked at Alex.
"Sit on the bed luv." I said quietly and sat in an office chair. He smiled and pulled me up sitting on the bed with me on his lap. I frowned and squirmed getting off and back into the office chair. He frowned. As much as the tangible thread between us was beckoning me to go to him I needed to stand my ground. "Later. I-I promise." I made a promise to my real mate. He smirked. It was pulling me closer, begging, he wanted my breath on his skin. Wanted my hands on his chest pressing against him in twisted fun. I smiled lightly. This is why mates were hidden. When we do find them. All we want is lust. I'm hell bent on getting him in my pack first.
"Yes." He said leaning on his knees. I knew it was to get closer to me. "I will be in your pack. But there's something you should know about me first." He said eyes now dark and distant. I leaned towards him a little. His flow of body choreography was intriguing. It pulled you in. Like a good book. You wanted to know more.
"My pack was destroyed. I'm not the rouge the play me to be. I trust you enough to tell you this. I was once an alpha of an astounding pack. My pack was loved by many. We never fought unless people came onto our land. I didn't have a Luna. My mother always told me that our Luna's were sacred and when she finally appeared." He paused and looked at me with nothing but love in his crystal blue eyes. So bright with adoration that he already trusted me. "-she would change my life forever." He smiled. I smiled along with him. "You aren't apart of this pack are you?" He asked his eyes slowly getting brighter. I shook my head.
"The eldest alpha turned me before I died." I swallowed the choking lump that was stuck in my throat. "The alpha of the Black Grass pack was....eccentric." I sighed closing my eyes. I couldn't say what Andrew did to me. He mentally drained me. Alex got up and picked me up out of the chair and sat down on the bed hugging me. He breathed on my ear.
"Show me." He spoke softly. I could hear the anger in his voice.
"Andrew is dead. I ripped him in half. Then set him on fire. He will never bother me again." I said but my lip quivered. The scar across my stomach hurt. That's where Andrew first started abusing me. He took a knife and cut my stomach open. One of the other wolves helped me to a doctor but I was in agony for a week. But the pain didn't even begin to stop there.
"I will protect you. Always. I will be there forever."he said keeping his voice low and yet it was filled to the brim with promise. I heard shuffling outside and Luna sensed Taylor. I stood and sat back on the chair.
"There's something I need your help with." I spoke pleadingly. He nodded.i cringed.
"I met someone here who thinks I'm his mate." I said. I saw his face darken. He stood and kissed me with so much passion I could've passed out. I kissed back with longing. With need. With pure love. He pulled back and growled quietly.
"You're mine. Only mine." He said.
"You're mine. " I smiled as I said this. Taylor came in and Alex was back on the bed looking at him. Taylor came over to me and kissed me. Alex was about to growl when I looked at him. I silently spoke to him in my mind link.
"This is Taylor." I said quietly. Taylor grabbed a chair and sat next to me.
"So this is the new wolf. Much stronger than I expected." He said. I folded my hands in my lap and nodded.
"His name is Alex." I said. Alex nodded and glared at Taylor. It was filled with so much hatred. I knew he wouldn't do anything because I asked him not to. Taylor smiled and held out his hand. Alex shook It. I saw something pass between them. Two alphas glaring at each other in an instant. I frowned. I looked at Alex.
"You will tell him nothing of our relationship." I spoke in his mind. He looked at me and his features softened.
"Fine. I'm just going to keep him in my mouse trap then." He smirked and Taylor layed his hand on my thigh. I shivered. It felt odd there now. Luna cowered. Luna was scared and just as confused as I was. She whimpered and Taylor moved his hand higher. I frowned and looked out the window. This felt so wrong. Alex sent a picture of me and him in a tight embrace. He was smiling and so was I. I smiled lightly and continued looking out the window listening to the rain hit the window gently.
It was hours before I finally got away from Taylor. I leaned against the tree and closed my eyes relaxing. I had to tell him. But how?
A branch broke not very far away. I shifted and scanned the woods turning in a slow circle and bumping into Alex as I did so. He barked out a laugh and shifted into human form. I shifted as well and glared at him.
"Don't do that you asshole." I said punching his arm. He grabbed my wrist and spun me in a circle and wrapped his arm around my waist pulling me closer.
"Don't call me names luv. I will win you over every time." He smirked and kissed me gently. I giggled and back away from him.
"Why'd you come out to the woods pup?" I spoke taunting him.
"I wanted to see my mate...." He spoke and smiled sweetly.
"Don't do that." I said blushing.
"Do what?" He asked confused.
"Smile like that...it's hard to look at..." I spoke turning away from him.
"Why's that?" He asked quietly.
"Taylor..."
