Chapter 40

Harry's P.O.V

"Holy crap! Where was that from?!" Niall yells startled as we make it in front of the building.

"I honestly don't know, I didn't even know because I was so pissed at Emily." I huff.

"Is everyone here?"

"Yup." Niall nods unlocking the door and everyone follows in.

I'm so mad at Emily. She can't just attract a guy like that then end his life.
Even though I bet that guy was some rapist, I just hope that she doesn't do it to some innocent person.
I'm way beyond mad at her behavior.

I clear my thoughts and storm into the house thinking about Emily on top of some guy being very sexual.

Why can't that be me?!

Why am I even mad about this?!

"Where's Emily?" Liam asks sitting on the couch.

"I thought she came in the house?!" I snap. Still upset about my thoughts.

"Um no we all thought she was outside with you." Perrie buds in.

"Shit."

Emily's P.O.V

Ill just die. No one will care. I won't care. The fire can just burn my empty body. I deserve it. I don't know, I guess everything. Before all this my life was perfect I guess I just didn't respect it.

I feel the heat coming upon my skin as the fire close up on me. I fall to the ground.

"What the hell you doing?!" A female voice yells as she gets up from the floor.

"Why did you push me?!" I snap back.

"Well I don't know maybe because there is a wild fire and your kind of standing in the middle of it." She says.

"My names Becca by the way." She puts out get hand.

"Emily." I smile back.

"It's coming!" She yells and runs away in full speed.

I don't follow. I stand there clueless. I feel confused being a vampire. I don't know how to explain it.

"Come on already!" She speeds back grabbing my wrist and pulling me out of the forest completely.

When we come to a stop I jolt forward falling again.

"Wow, you sure are something." Becca chuckles , dusting her hands off.

"What do you mean?"

"It just you seem so confused" She says.

"I am,I'm new to this vampire thing. And all my friends left me in the forest alone and I really didn't care anymore." I sigh.

"Care about what?" She asks full of concern.

"Me." I choke out. As tears border my eyes.

I can't cry I just met her and I'm spilling all my feelings to her.

"You can come down to my apartment and we can talk. You need to meet some people." She pats my back.

I just simply nod and speed with her to her apartment.

Harry's P.O.V

"Emily!" I yell checking the forest.

"Emily!" I yell louder than before. The fire burns me as I run through it.

I can't smell her no more since she's not a human so this absolutely is no use.

I speed out the forest again and go to Mason who was waiting.

"You find her?" He questions.

"Nope" I look at my feet.
I lost her again. For the 50 thousandths time.

"I'm sure she will come back home."
He try's to lighten the mood.

"No probably not, the way I was yelling at her. I don't think it was because it was wrong. I think I was jealous of what she did to that guy. I don't why."

"You just want her to be rough on you that's why." Mason laughs.

"Be quiet." I punch him lightly in the shoulder smiling a bit.

"Let's just go home before the cops think we started the fire. Anyways I have some thing to do with Jesy."
Mason leaves quickly and I slowly follow along.

Beccas P.O.V

"We're here!" I say to Emily who practically dragged her self along.

I open the door and Martin,Jenny,and Joey are there like I expected them to be.

"Hey guys!"

"This is Emily." She walks from behind me shyly.

"Hello." Martin says looking at her head to toe.

Martin has always been a player. So I would expect him to do that.
"Hey." Jenny lightly smiles. She's one of my bestfriends. We both got turned into a vampire from the same person.

That was a night ill never forget.

"I'm Joey." Joey stands up putting his hand out. They shake hands and I can't help but tense in my back. Joey is my boyfriend. I mean I don't feel anything for him that much but I have him there when I need him.

"Yeah, well this is my crew." I smile causing everyone to turn and face me.

"It's,it's, there all nice." Emily looks at Jenny,Martin,and Joey.

"Emily come sit in the kitchen with me will you?" I ask her. She nods and follows me in the kitchen.
We both sit down at the table and sit there in silence. She looks real deep in thought.

"So what's wrong?" I ask.

"I didn't know what to do, I'm new at this whole different life. I can't control myself. I already killed a man. And I don't know how to handle myself. And now my own friends hate me, considering they all left me there alone in the forest. If it wasn't for you I would've been burnt to a crisp." She says holding back all her emotion.

"I know I just met you. But I feel like I knew you from somewhere." I trail off.

"Really? I never seen you in my life, yet I'm at your house." She chuckles.

"Yeah, we'll I feel the sameway. After my brother Jackson died I-"

"Jackson." She cuts me off.

"Yes, Jackson."

"Do you know him or something..?"

Jackson died. I don't know how but all I know that is how ever he died, or whoever killed him will pay.


Emily's P.O.V

Jackson. Is she talking about the Jackson I know. Please it better not be.

Should I say I know him? Will she think I'm responsible for his death?
Ill just say never mind.

"Nevermind, I was thinking of someone else." I fake laugh.

"Go on." I clear my throat.

"I forgot what I was going to say." She laughs, but I can tell 100% it wasn't real.

"Well I should get going." I stand up from the chair.

"Why leave so soon?" She stands up too.

"I should get home."

"What you nervous I will find out that you were responsible for Jackson's death!" She yells stepping near me.

"Actually,yes." Is all I say before I go full speed out the door.

I feel her presence behind me.

I wish the whole world could all just freeze for a second. So I can just live in peace for just a while without running into the wrong people.

I continue to run. But I feel everything come to a stop. The busy streets stop, the pedestrians walking stop. And Becca stops behind me.

Everything is frozen.

*It's frooooooZEN*

"Wow." I say to myself looking around.

I froze everything. Is that one of my secret powers?

I guess I get to walk home now.

I get to the door and open it. Everyone is frozen.
This is funny. I look at the frozen Kate sitting on the couch eating crackers.
And Niall sits on the recliner with his arm around her.

I walk into the kitchen and see..
Mason and Jesy kissing on top of the table.. And forks and spoons on the floor.

I leave the kitchen quickly and explore more of the house.

I'm looking for Harry. I want to see what he's doing.

"What the hell?!" I hear a voice yell.

What? I thought everyone was frozen.

I run down the stairs and see Harry. He's moving.

"Why is everyone stuck standing still?" Harry asks shocked looking at everyone in amazement.

"I did it." I mutter.

"You? You did this?"

I nod.

"That power is rare Emily! That is so cool!" He runs up to me and embraces me in his warmth.

"Don't go in the kitchen though. I think I froze them at the wrong time."

"Now I got to see this."

Harry walks in the kitchen and I hear him laugh.

"Where did you go?" He says seriously.

"When?" I pretend I don't know.

"The fire. I went back to look for you and I couldn't find you."

He went back? He didn't see me leave with Becca did he?

"Did you see me leave?" I say quite to quickly.

"No. I just said I couldn't find you."

I can't tell him about Becca. He might get mad that that's Jackson's sister.

"So, answer me. Where did you go?"

"Um just walked around town and then I froze everything. I should really unfreeze it. I need to firgure out how."

Lemme concentrate real hard,maybe that will work.

Right away everyone starts moving again.

But that makes me wonder. Why didn't Harry get frozen?

Lauren's P.O.V

"Jonathan get your bags!" I yell to my husband.

"Got them." He yells back closing the car door.

"Bye mum." I say before me and Jon go into the airport.

Now that Emily,Kate,and Jesy are all announced to be dead because they were no where to be seen. I couldn't get my mind off it. Guilt is on me everyday.

So Jon bought two tickets and now were going to leave our town so I can get my mind off things for a bit.

As we wait for are flight to be called I start to wonder..

What happened to Emily? And if someone did take her. Why did they take her? Questions start to go through my head.

"It's ok babe." Jon mumbles in the crook of my neck.
I can't help but smile.

Flight 355 to New York is now boarding.

And new character Becca. @beccajane36 who requested to be in the book(: she's Jackson's sister.. Will she be evil just like Jackson. Or is she only acting like that because of his death?
