hi so this chapter is somewhat to very boring so just get through it and the rest will be great promise;)

--------------------------------------------

I woke up with a start; my head was pounding like hell. My vision was blurry. But I forgot about all of that because questions began to fill my mind. Who am I? Where am I? Who brought me here? Why am I here? The only thing I knew for sure was that my name, Thalia Carder, and this….place was not my home.

I slowly stood up, rubbing my neck in pain. I looked around and realized I was trapped in some type of enclosed circular field. On the other side of the area lied a pond shining from a light in the sky. I walked up to the pond and saw that there were zero fish or living animals in the pond. It was definitely artificial. All along the edges grew tall mixed type of trees from boisterous evergreens to mellow willow trees. Apart from the pond the only thing that was on the ground was grass that was damp with dew. I looked up to see a painted blue ceiling that was supposed to be the sky. And then there was a lamp hanging from the ceiling that was the “sun”. The only structure in the field stood a small old shack facing the pond. I slowly crept up to it afraid something was in it ready to tear me to shreds.

As I got closer to the shack I saw just how old the shack was. There was a porch with an old rickety table that looked like it could crumple to the ground at any minute. I entered the shack cautiously and realized there was only one room in the whole cabin. In the far corner stood a wooden bed with brown bead sheets (at least I hoped it was brown) the bed looked like it would turn to dust at any given moment. In the other was a rusty toilet that smelled absolutely revolting. On the entry wall was a beige fridge in the corner and a rusty sink next to it, at least it had running water. I looked in the cabinets and saw the shack was packed with necessities like a hairbrush, tooth paste, soap, and everything I would need to last one week. What was supposed to happen to me after the one week? I sighed but then I thought why would someone stick me in here if it was for only one week? I sighed well we will see, the day had been much too crazy to contemplate on anything for too long of a time. I scanned the shack over again, it was livable. There was one last piece of furniture left in the shack, a mirror. I looked at myself for what was the first time I could remember.

My skin was slightly tanned; I had bright green eyes that looked like emeralds. My nose was nicely shaped, not too fat, yet not too pointy. My hair was a light brown with blonde high lights that flowed down a little passed my shoulders. I was a little chubby here and there, but I cant be perfect. I don’t know what I was wearing though; it looked like a racecar suit that was all white, I couldn’t tell if people made me wear this or it was just because I had a terrible sense of style. I didn’t know nor did I care, no one was around to see how ugly this suit was. But apart from that, I looked pretty hot.

I sat down on my bed to take it all in; I glanced at my pillow and saw a letter with my name in it!

I opened it and this is what it said,

Dear Thalia Carder,

Hello I am writing this letter on behalf of an organization called the Spheres. As you know you are in an area of confined land. You may think it is cruel, but you must know, the world is at war. Hundreds and thousands of people were dying, so the organization placed everyone into separate areas called domes so that no one could fight any longer. Thalia, we are here to help you, as long as you never try to get out of your dome, you will be safe. Food will be dropped by every week; we won’t let you starve, if you fulfill the requirements below before the end of the week listed below we will give you food.

1) Plow at 5 meters by 5meters  square of land.

2) Don’t try to run. Ever

-The Spheres organization

Something sounded fishy I didn’t know if I could trust these people. Something about them sounded weird or off about them. Maybe they were the ones that erased my memory, or did it happen naturally? I didn’t know but no one else was around to feed me; and really, I liked it when people fed me for some plowing right? It couldn’t be that hard. I scoured the whole shack, but I only found one thing that could possibly help me to plow a field, a rusty, old, wooden shovel. I stepped outside and realized that it might be harder than I thought. I worked for an hour and then went back inside. I had gotten nearly nothing done but with the day I had, I decided to go to bed.

Six days went by and I was short on food. I wondered I if anyone would actually try to come give it to me.  A couple hours passed and I started getting worried, without food I would die. I had finished my plowing the other day and I was ready to do something new. Suddenly the roof of the so called “dome” began to slide open. My heart stopped, what was happening? Was someone here to kill me? My heart was pounding my legs were shaky as I stood there paralyzed watching a flying saucer barreling towards my dome.
