He strode through the door, thumbs in his belt loops like a wild west cowboy. I sit there, scared. But I can't help but imagine that his first words to me will be "this town ain't big enough for the two of us." I smile, luckily he doesn't see.
"Do you know why you're here?" He sits in his swivel chair. I half expect it to tip over because all his weight is in his shoulders. He looks quite off balance and disproportionate.
"Not really," I lie. Of course I know why I'm here.
