Chloe's POV

Bell noise

I'm so happy school is over because it's Friday!

"What are you doing this weekend?" Samantha asked me.

"Nothing much." I answered.

"Well do you wanna come over tomorrow? We can start working on our history report." Samantha suggested.

"Sure," I said. She stopped at her locker and I had to go around the corner to mine. I stopped at my locker when Nick, this guy I've had a crush on since like forever. Came up to my locker.

"Hey Chloe I have a question. You wanna go out with me?" He asked. My heart like literally stopped beating. But I knew it was probably to good to be true.

"Listen I know it's a bet or something so just leave me alone," I said and turned back to my locker. I don't know why I said that because I knew I wanted to say yes.

"It's not a bet," he said.

"Yeah sure it isn't," I said. What's wrong with you? I asked myself. But I can't stop. "All of a sudden you decide that you like me. And I'm supposed to believe that you actually like me. In your dreams Nick," I said and turned to walk away.

"If it was a bet why would I do this?" He asked. And before I could even answer his lips where on mine. "Do you believe me now?" He asked.

"You must really wanna win that bet," I said and turned.

"Please you have to believe me," he said and when I looked at him I could tell he meant it.

"I'll give you a chance but trust me I'm not going to cry and beg you to stay if you break up with me. So if that's the bet give up now," I smiled and walked to Samantha's locker. Boy am I going to have a story.

"What took you so long?" She asks once I walked up to her locker.

"Couldn't get my locker open," I said. Which was kinda true because half of the time I can't get it open.

"Okay," she said and we walked out of the school.

We take turns giving each other rides home from school and today was my turn to drive.

"What really took you so long when you went to your locker?" She asked me. I want to tell her but I don't know how and why she'd believe me.

"I was walking ran into some dude, had to pick all my stuff up then I couldn't get my locker open," I said. It surprises me sometimes how easily I can lie. But it's not as bad if she were my best friend. But my best friend for as long as I can remember is Julie.

"Oh okay. See you tomorrow," she said and got out of the car, I just waved.

Ring ring

"Hi mom," I said kinda annoyed she knows I don't usually get home this early on a Friday.

"Where are you?" She asked.

"Mom, calm down it was my turn to take Samantha home today," I said trying to stay calm.

"Oh yeah I forgot sorry. Love you bye," she said and then hung up.

I pulled into the driveway and walked into the house.

"Mom I'm home!" I yelled.

"Okay sweetie I'm upstairs," she yelled back.

I walked upstairs because I know she can't hear me when I'm yelling.

"Mom can I go to Samantha's tomorrow to work on our history project?" I asked.

"Sure and you can ask Julie if she can spend the night of you want to at her house," she said. She knows me to well.

"Thanks mom," I said and went to my room. I can't wait until tomorrow.
