first of all halsey is mixed af so don't come at me for using a "standard white girl" as a faceclaim. try me, muchachos, i'm on the brink of just breaking down in the middle of a parking lot while downing apple juice.
secondly, this all really depends on where u go w the plot. for marvel (which i have mostly planned out) it'd be about this random woman bucky happened to run in to, at a local college. she was doing a report on wwii, and bucky, despite him being very, very lost, helped. later on, after she dies of whatever, and she comes back, she looks for him—because he's the only person she can remember. however, she finds an unpleasant surprise during her journey as she realizes she can see, and communicate with, the undead. ghosts and ghouls of the past start clawing at her feet, literally. bucky's presence doesn't seem to help, and when she questions how and why there are so many spirits, practically choking him, he answers honestly
"i... was an assassin."
when hunters start calling for her head, amongst others, for her abilities, and the law starts calling for bucky's head, for obvious reasons, the two find themselves running away from both their pursuers, and their past. along the way, they learn to help each other—bucky is well aware of the supernatural, and assists in any way he knows how. lis (as bucky calls her) despite her well known nature for being a wild, uncontrollable, dorky woman is actually very wise, and tries to help him murder the demons of his past. figuratively, and literally.
