Scotty's POV

A couple days have gone by since Danielle came back. The night she came back I kissed her. I kissed her like I've always wanted to kiss her. She kissed me back too. Since that night, I haven't seen her much. I mean, I've had a lot of stuff I've had to do. Juggling traveling to different weekend tour dates and trying to get ready for school that starts up real soon. It'd been hectic. She would text me here or there, but not enough like I want her to. I was currently in Georigia for some summer festival concert. I was sitting in my bus waiting for it to start when my laptop made a noise. I walked over to it and saw that Dani was trying to Skype with me. I clicked the green button and waited for her face to glorify my screen.

"Hey." She said as she smiled at me.

"Hey, what are you doing up so early?" I asked her.

"I'm just getting some things packed up."

"Wait why?" I asked concerned.

"I think I'm going to head home soon."

"No, why?" I was frantically worrying now.

"Because i've been here for a week. I only wanted to be here for a dew days." She said slowly.

"When are you leaving?"

"Tomorrow night."

"Danielle, I won't even be home to say goodbye. I'll be in Mississippi."

"I know, I just thought it would be easier this way."

"With not saying goodbye?"

"Scotty, this is hard enough as it is." She said quietly. "I've got to go. I'll see you."

With those final words she hung up the call. The last time I will see her in a while. I can't believe I just let that happen. She already left me once. I didn't want it to happen again. The first time I couldn't control because we were too young. Now, I have a chance and I didn't do anything about it. I'm such an idiot.

Danielle's POV

I rolled my suitcase down the walkway to my rental car. It was getting later in the evening and I knew I was going to have a hell of a night ahead of me. My grandma followed me out and gave me a big long hug goodbye.

'Make sure to visit more often." She said wipping some stry tears from her eyes.

"I will don't worry."

I climbed in my car and took off for the airport. I glanced around the sights as i drove out of town. I was saying goobye to Garner for who knows how long. I didn't want to leave, but I knew my life wasn't here anymore. I felt like a complete outsider now.

I renturned the car and made my way to the front desk to buy my ticket home. I saw that there was a flight connecting from Savannah, Georgia to Jackson, Mississippi. Part of me wanted to just buy the ticket. The rest of me wanted nothing but to go home and curl up on my balcony and relax and watch the city of Eastern Eurpoeans live below me.

"Hi ma'am can I help you?" The lady at the front desk asked me.

"Hi, one ticket to Savannah, Georgia please."

"Do you want the one that connects to Chicago or Jackson?"

"Jackson." I smiled at her and handed over my card.

I gathered my bags and took my ticket and struggled to make it through security. I made my way to my gate and sat down. My knee kept tapping, I can't believe I was about to do this. I never did anything reckless like this.

"Flight 3651 Boarding for Savannah Georgia." the intercom blared through the speakers. I stood in line and waited to board the plane. Once I got to my seat, I pulled out my phone and started a new text to Scotty.
