Scotty’s POV
I pulled up the driveway to the house and saw Dani. She was laying out on the rocker on the porch. I took the key out the ignition and made my way up the walkway. Her eyes were closed and her journal laid on her stomach. Blue jeans hung low on her hips and she wore an old Garner t-shirt. I smiled to myself and lent down and placed a small kiss on her lips. She smiled and looked up at me.
“Hi baby.” I said and sat next to her.
“I thought you were working?”
“I was, but I wanted to stop home for a little bit.” She smiled.
“How’s the album coming?”
“It could be better, but I’ll figure it out. How’s the writing?
“Terrible. There’s more scribbled out words then words that I actually like.” She smirked.
“So I have an idea.”
“This can’t be good…” She smiled.
“I was thinking that we could start looking to spruce up the house.”
“We did.”
“Danielle, we don’t even have a dinner table.”
“Dinner tables are so overrated.” She smiled and then laughed.
“Can we at least just try to make the house look like someone lives in it?”
“It does, I haven’t done laundry and the kitchen’s a mess.” She started laughing.
“You’re a hopeless case.” I smiled at her.
“Hey, I can’t be that bad if you’re still here.”
I nodded just as my phone started ringing. It was manager. Back to work I go.
“Alright, I’m going back to work, I’ll see you when I get home.”
She nodded her head and leaned up and kissed me before I took off.
“Hey Scotty!”
I turned around and looked her.
“Someone needs to really move into this dump and cute their damn lawn!”
