Y/N’s pov

I sat there alone, lost in my thoughts. It was storming outside, school ended a half an hour ago, my parents aren't home, phone's dead, and I sat there on my bed as I watched raindrops hit against my window. I wasn't a big fan of rain, especially thunderstorms…

My house shook when  thunder struck, like, right above my house! The power went out,”Great…” I muttered, I stole the flashlight off my nightstand and clicked it on, it emitted light in my now dark room. Now what? I glanced out the window, it actually looked like night time, maybe I could take a nap? The strangest things happen in my dreams whenever I fall asleep… I decided to rest, so I laid down,”I want to know what would've happened if this storm never happened,” I called out,”please.” I slowly drifted to sleep, soon a place came into view, a motel? Wait, is this the motel my parents are staying in? They left for a business trip this morning and will be gone for about a week, so they must've stayed at a motel.

The sky as bright blue, barely any clouds and there was a slight breeze. Why couldn't it be like this instead of a storm where I am? I saw my parents leave what I presume is their room,”Come on, that huge thunderstorm just missed here and at home! I want to get going!” my mom called to my dad as she raced to the car,”Im coming, Im coming.” my dad called back, they got into the car and my dad started driving away, I started to float after them. It was a thing that happens in these dreams, i can't leave who or what the dream is showing me, and if i can't keep up or don't follow, I either ‘teleport' to them, or I float to them. So I was just floating behind my parents car, light gray clouds gloomed in the distance. A big truck was getting closer from the other side of the road, too close… The driver in the huge truck seemed to be asleep or even passed out, the truck inched more and more closer, than…. Bam! The two vehicles smashes together, both of them went into the ditch, engines smoking, dents, scratches, and smashed windows all in a pile of two! I ran over, i checked inside my parents car, both of my parents… Dead… i teared up,”n-no…” I mumbled, the world began to crumble away……

I woke up in bed, tears clouded my vision, i sighed and rubbed my eyes. I sleepily sat up and grabbed my phone off my nightstand, good thing i charged it before falling asleep, i texted my mom to see if she's alright, she replied two minutes later; “yeah, we're fine sweety. Good thing we stayed at the motel, with that storm there probably would've been an accident!” I sighed in relief, i'm now grateful to the thunderstorm, even though i still don't like it for trapping me inside.

I went downstairs for a snake, I grabbed a waffle and plopped it into the toaster, i made it cook. And while i waited for my waffle to be done i stared out the window, with the power being back on i turned on a lamp that was close by, out in the distance, near the trees across the small field like area on the other side of the street, I saw what appeared to be a person, just standing out there in the harsh rain. I can't just leave that person there! I stole my raincoat and umbrella, a raced the rain as i ran outside, the umbrella keeping me dry, only my shoes getting wet. As soon as i was on the other side of the road and closer to the person I could make out that the person was a girl,”Hey!” I called to her, she seemed to jump in fright, then she… Disappeared…?

I looked around in confusion, no one but me was there. Heck, it seemed like I was the only person here at all today! I sighed and went home, as soon as I was inside I kicked off my shoes, tossed my soaked umbrella onto the ground and left my rain coat on the coffee table. I flopped onto the couch and sighed,”Energy wasted, too lazy to go up to bed or even put my stuff away.” I whined to myself, I closed my eyes and tried to sleep. But just before i was asleep i remembered about lucid dreaming,”I want to know what shall happen if I don't go to school tomorrow…” I grumbled, i fell into a deep sleep as those words left my mouth. Once the fantasy world started playing in my head it showed my house, just plain my house, and that's what I expected! Stay home on a friday, is an awesome fake long weekend to be lazy! But instead of seeing what dream, or should I say future me, is up to I went to the basement. The place I never ever go while dreaming of my house. Can't blame me, I feel like things would turn into a nightmare if I go down there! But now I'm taking that chance. I looked around the dim basement, everything looked normal here except for one thing, there seemed to be a girl down here, she was facing the other way while doing something so she didn't see me. i took that as an advantage and grabbed her from behind, pinning her arms behind her back while pinning her to the wall,”Who are you?” I asked, trying to sound threatening,”(Y/N), I am no threat! I'm only here because you keep wanting to know what things would be like if you chose to do something.” the girl said calmly,”What? So, are you the one that gives me these dreams? And were you the person out in the rain?” I asked, my voice being more softer and I let her go,”Yes… I'm sorry about you getting all wet for nothing…” she said in a hushed tone,”That's fine, it was my fault.” I mumbled,”How did you know my name anyway?” I asked, she looked at me,”While I make you have these dreams I also see into your memories, and with them I found out your name.” she explained,”oh, cool. Ok, two more questions… What's your name and can we hang out in real life?” I asked,”I'm Cross. And… Yes, if you actually want to.” ‘Cross' answered, since I had nothing else to ask I took a moment to look at her. She had nice light gray skin that had a hint of blue, long blue hair held back in a ponytail with purple tips, her right eye was a nice blue while her left eye was a purple cross as the iris and pupil. She wore blue shorts that go to her knees, a black and red striped T-shirt with a blue and green striped long sleeved shirt underneath, she had no socks or shoes on, and to top it off she had a long light brown scarf around her neck.
