Chapter 4

" Misako!" Wu shouted, jumping up, knocking over the tea pot with a crash as it shattered off the stone. He grabbed his staff, and ran into the monastery, searching every room. He turned a corner, and collided into someone, and stumbled back against the wall. Misako pushed her braid back over her shoulder, tears streaming down her face.

" Are you ok?" Wu asked. She nodded. " What happened? "

" It's your brother....Hurry!" She choked out, leading him down a hallway, and into the sitting room. Garmadon laid on the floor, unconscious.

" What happened?" Wu asked, leaning his staff against the wall.

" I don't know..." She said. " I came in, and found him lying here...I don't know what happened to him." She sat down on a chair, crying into her hands. Wu rolled his brother onto his back, and brushed his hair from his face. His skin was pale like a ghost, his breathing slow.

" Help me bring him to his room." Wu said, sitting his brother up. Misako wiped at her eyes with the heel of her hands, and draped Garmadon's arm around her, Wu doing the same. They quickly brought Garmadon to his room, and rested him on his bed.

" What could have caused this?" Misako asked, sitting on a chair in the corner of the room. Wu shook his head.

" I don't know..."

Misako brought in another pot of tea, and rested it on the bedside table. Wu sat in a chair next to his brother's bed, watching over him like a hawk.

" You need some sleep..." She said, yawning. " It's almost midnight..."

" I'm fine.." Wu replied, pouring himself some more tea. " I won't leave my brother's side...He would do the same for me...Go get some rest..I'll get you when he comes to." She nodded, and left the room without another word. Two words kept nagging at the back of Wu's mind, as he watched his ill brother. The venom....The venom....He shivered, as he thought about what that could mean, and took another sip of tea.

The hours passed by, and soon the sun was rising into the sky, filling the sky with its' glorious light. Wu yawned from his lack of sleep, and stretched his arms tiredly.

" Oh, come on..." Misako sighed, walking into the bedroom. " You seriously didn't sleep? "

" No..." Wu said, dropping his hands onto his lap. " I'm going to pay for it later, but...." He yawned, and blinked his eyes a few times. " I don't mind..."

" How's he doing?" She asked.

" He's fine, I suppose....Breathing, heart is beating...." He yawned once more, and his eyes closed momentarily. " I seriously need some caffeine right now..."

" I'll get you some coffee-"

" Oh, no way." Wu cut her off. " I hate coffee...I'll just take some tea...It helps me wake up in the morning.."

" Ok.." She smiled, leaving the room. " With mint in it?"

" Ooo, yes." Wu sighed, leaning his head back. She rolled her eyes, and left the room. Wu sighed, and rubbed his eyes with the heels of his hands. Stay awake... He chided to himself.

" What happened?" A voice moaned, startling Wu. He sighed a sigh of relief, when he saw his brother running his fingers through his brown hair.

" Thank goodness you're alright..." Wu sighed. Garmadon cast his glance at his brother questioningly.

" Alright? That's a lie. My head is pounding, I'm sick to my stomach, my arm hurts, and I'm tired....What the heck happened?!"

" Well, you're acting pleasant..." Wu mumbled. " I sat here, all night, trying to keep an eye on you.."
