I swallowed hard as the urge to attack devoured my mind. Resisting was soon not going to be an option. I stumbled to my feet and twitched my head a little as I fought back with every part of my being to not go after Lila.
"What's up with you?" Lila asked as I made my way to the door.
"I think it would be best if I leave now" I said just barely managed to say while holding my breath so Lila's sent wouldn't tempt me.
"I'll go with you." Sophia said while approaching me.
"Then I will go too, to make sure nothing happens to Sophia again." Lila said standing up.
"NO!' I exclaimed. They both looked at me and Sophia hesitated.
This isn't good, I can't hold back much longer. My blood was pounding and as I heard the blood running through Lila's body I could feel myself getting excited and wanting her blood even more. Fighting this was the toughest thing anyone could do. I clenched down my jaw to keep from biting her and as I did, I cut the inside of my lip. Did my canine teeth get longer and sharper? I need to get out and fast, one more minute and i'm done for.
"I'll leave by myself so you guys stay here." I said rushing out the door.
"Wait-" Sophia called but it was too late, I had already ran out of the building and now I was running loosely on the streets. I ran and didn't stop. I wasn't going to stop until I changed back in human form. I ran for hours until finally I lost the over whelming urge to drink blood. The sun was beginning to rise and I realized that I was a long way from the hotel and not only that but in my human form I was becoming tired and weak. The closest thing to me was a small, old, run down, cabin, that was on the one place that had dried twig looking trees and patches of brown grass. It looked like no one was living there and as if all the life was sucked out of that one area. Though it was a terrible looking place, I figured that it would still be a good place to rest.
Just before I stepped onto the dried out land a little boy appeared.
"I wouldn't go there if I were you." He said hiding behind a tree. There was something off about him but I couldn't tell what it was. He wore a worn out dark blue vest with a long sleeved, dirty, white shirt underneath it. With it, he wore brown shorts and black buckled shoes with medium length white socks. I couldn't see his face, for it was covered by a black hat that he was wearing but I could tell by his height and the sound of his voice that he was only about six or seven, how ever old he was, he definitely hasn't hit puberty.
"Why shouldn't I go there?" I asked curiously.
"Because" he replied "I to went there, but when I went I wasn't able to make it." He said.
What is he talking about? That doesn't even make sense.
"What? What do you mean you wern't able to make it? What are you talking about?" I asked confused.
"Even though my parents sent me here to ask the witch to grant their wish, I wasn't able to do it." The little boy said in a sorrowful tone. Once again what he said left me confused and yet still interested in what he had to say.
"What do you mean?" I asked, hoping this time he would give me an explanation that I could understand.
"There was a rumor in the village that I lived in and it was said that who ever can free the witch who is locked away in the house, will be granted one wish, but the only problem is that the only way the wich is able to continue living in the house that she is trapped in, is by sucking the life out of any living thing that steps onto her land. Therefore, it is practically impossible for anyone to save her or even get near her. Not only will you not get your wish granted if you don't free her but know one even knows what she looks like." The little boy explained.
"That's impossible." I said to him "Those are probably just rumors that some frightened children made up because this place looks creepy." I explained to him.
There's no way these rumors could be true. I mean in school we only learned about vampires, beings, such as witches, were things we only heard in stories or watched in movies, but we never saw any in real life.
"But its not a rumor." He said with out any hesitation, as if what he was saying was true.
"How do you know?" I asked.
"Because my parents sent me here to grant their wish for them. They said that if I couldn't get their wish granted, whether the rumors were true or not, then I couldn't go home, so I came here, hoping to find and free the witch." the little boy said sadly "But when I came here, I couldn't make it. I was only able to take two steps." He said, his voice shaking from fright.
"What do you mean?" I asked walking slowly towards him. I paused as I noticed how thin the boys legs were. As I stared at him even closer I couldn't help but think that he was literally so skinny, he was like skin and bone. He was surely lacking in muscle so he must not be getting enough nutrition, but the fact that he is that skinny and is able to walk is amazing, no, the fact that he is alive is amazing!
"This is because of her" he mumbled looking down at the ground and kicking his feet a little.
"What?" I asked. Just then, in a flash, the boy appeared and hovered right in front of me. The sight of him sent chills down my spine.
"IT WAS HER WHO KILLED ME AND TOOK MY LIFE!!!!!!!!" The little boy exclaimed. His face shriveled and dry. His eyes were practically falling out of their sockets and his cheeks were all bone. His skin was pale and his hair looked like it was falling out. Not only did he look like a living corpse, he was also transparent like a ghost. I jumped back in fright, crawling backwards on the ground. I didn't know what to think but all I knew was something wasn't right. Why is he still here living if he is dead?
"ITS THE WITCH WHO KILLED ME! I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING TO HER! I WAS GOING TO SAVE HER AND SET HER FREE! SO WHY?" the little boy cried out "WHY DID SHE DO THIS TO ME!?" he began to cry and rapidly flew in circles through the trees. His sobbing echoed through my ears, for he let out loud cries.
Just then the little boys lost little spirit that was quickly and mentally, breaking down, floated onto the dry land where the witch he said was to be living.
"w-wai-" as I was about to call out to him it was to late. He had been dragged down into the dried out earth, as if he was eaten, and I sat there dumb founded by what just happened.
What I had just witnessed must have been the work of the so called "witch" right?
