I stood at the edge of a coffin and looked down at the woman who had raised me for most of my life. After my parents decided they didn't want to be parents anymore, she took me in. She was the one who taught me everything that I ever knew, the one who had comforted me when I cried, the one who had been there for me when no one else was.

I loved her more than anything else in my life, and all I ever wanted was to make her happy. So, after the funeral, tear tracks still drying on my cheeks, I decided that I would follow the last advice she ever gave me.
