I woke in the Hospital. Alex and mom was there. Mom was crying. Alex sat there just watching my every move. I looked around the small room. There was a IV in my arm. It felt like it was leaking when it flowed into my veins. "Mom" I said. My voice was cracky, but I didn't care. "Yes Alan" Mom asked. I couldn't hear her. Alex got up looking into my eyes. " Mom he can't hear you..." "Alex don't taunt me" Mom narrowed her eyes at him. Alex said it again. " Mom he can't hear you." Mom put her hands in the air, then the doctor came in. Mom put her hand down right away. " Well I have news..." "What is it Dr. Todd" "Well Alan will be leaving today" Well that's great!" " But you have to fill out this paper, and Alex you have broke your arm and you lost your License." "WHAT!" Alex wasn't happy. I couldn't hear anything. But I could hear Alex. I looked at Alex's arm. " Yeah I know, it'll get better Alan" Mom looked at Alex as I nod my head. Mom's mouth dropped. So did Dr. Todd. And it was time for him to tell mom what he did to my hearing. " Mrs. Noll" "Yes?" " To save Alan's life I had to uhh..." "Spit the goddamn thing out Dr. Todd" " We had to cut his hearing" "YOU DID WHAT!"
Alex's face dropped. So did mom's. Dr. Todd gave mom the clipboard. Mom yanked it out of his hands. She narrowed her eyes at him. His eyes widened. So did Alex's and mine.
