Leaf-fall was on the edge of ending and TigerPaw could not be happier. Throughout the first moon of being an apprentice TigerPaw has had to deal with kits bothering him about how to catch prey by using leaves. One time they even filled TigerPaws nest with leaves after threatening to if he didn't teach them how to hunt. He was greatful for OakTail taking him out for training, honestly he would have done anything just to get out of camp. A piercing memory of RavenKit came into TigerPaws mind as he thought of her bubbly personality. His eyes clouded with tears but he shook them off. RavenKit may have died but she is in a better place now. Probably meeting all our ancestors, the lucky kit. But the thought of her not becoming an apprentice with TigerPaw, like they had always dreamed, made him quite upset. If she had lived just a bit longer he thought. OakTail cleared his throat pulling TigerPaw out of his thoughts.
"Where do you think you're going?" TigerPaw stopped and noticed he had continued walking past the oppening where they usually trained.
"Oh" he mewed padding back to OakTail. He gave TigerPaw a confused glance then carried on. Getting into a readied position, he signaled to him to begin.

TigerPaw launched forward aiming for OakTails shoulders but OakTail moved away. As TigerPaw landed he was but a wisker width away, so he took the oportunity and slashed at OakTails underbelly with sheathed claws. OakTail jumped back and took a swing at TigerPaws head. He dodged it and clamped his teeth gently onto OakTails paw. OakTail yanked his now pretend injured paw from TigerPaws jaws. TigerPaw leaped up and spun around in the air so that he was facing the same direction as OakTail, then landed squarely on his shoulders. TigerPaw pretended to bite into his neck and claw his back with both his hind legs. OakTail shook and jumped in an attempt to shake him off but TigerPaw bit harder and scratched deeper the more he struggled. OakTail stopped and rolled over crushing TigerPaw under his weight. TigerPaw squeezed out from under him and immediately clawled onto his unprotected belly. TgerPaw reared up and slammed as hard as he could down onto OakTails stomach knocking the breath out of him.
"Alright" he wheezed "you win". TigerPaw let out a yowl of triumph. A voice beyond the treeline called out.
"Looks like your getting beaten OakTail!" A thick fured, she-cat warrior with green eyes and marking resembling that of a fox smirked behind TigerPaw. Beside her stood a silver, spotted tabby she-cat with brilliant blue eyes looking just a few moons younger that TigerPaw. He could not take his eyes off her.
