OakTail lead TigerPaw and the silver apprentice to the training hollow. FoxFur was off somewhere on patrol so she had to train with him instead. TigerPaw has never had a full blown conversation with her yet. "Are you enjoying being an apprentice?" TigerPaw tried for conversation once more. The cat sighed. OakTail overheard the question. " MoonPaw don't ignor someone who's talking to you" He sounded. MoonPaw didn't reply, she just looked at the trees beside her. They soon reached the hollow and TigerPaw, having done this before, stood in his usual place. "Okay, MoonPaw, stand there" OakTail beckoned her to a place a mere fox-length away. Placing a paw on her back he pushed down making MoonPaw crouch lower and lower. " See, you need to get in what we call a 'battle stance'. Crouch low and brace." he instructed. MoonPaw adjusted her position to what OakTail told her to. OakTail lifted his gaze to look at TigerPaw. "You ready TigerPaw?" TigerPaw  nodded tensing his mussels. "Alright, go!"

MoonPaw dashed forward and TigerPaw did the same but he veered off in the last second, sending MoonPaw flying into the dirt. He spun around and pounced on MoonPaws back pinning her to the ground. She struggled under his weight. TigerPaw looked back at OakTail who nodded, giving the signal for the fight to end. He got off MoonPaws back and tried to help her up but MoonPaw shook him off. "I'm perfectly capable of getting up myself!" TigerPaw backed off, confused as to why she had such an attitude. "No need to be rude" he mumbled. She gave him a sharp glare. "Alright you two" OakTail broke in. TigerPaw went back to where he was standing before and watched as MoonPaw passed him to get ready for the next battle.

TigerPaw breathed carefully as he held the moss bundle in his jaws. After training MoonPaw and TigerPaw were sent to collect moss for the elders. TigerPaw walked in front of MoonPaw, feeling her gaze burning his pelt. Soon, they reached the elders den and TigerPaw squeezed through the entrance looking around."So what now?" MoonPaws voice came from behind him. Putting the moss down he replied."Oh, we just leave it here for the elders. I also like to separate the moss into even piles for them....But we don't have to" TigerPaw avoided eye contact, pretending to pick twigs from the moss. As he did so he noticed MoonPaw was strangely quiet."Um Moon-" he began but was cut of by MoonPaw."I think I'll just leave the moss for the elders to sort out" she mewed walking past him and dropping her moss beside his. TigerPaw wasn't surprised, not many apprentices where kind enough to do the elders a favor. He turned around and began towards the opening in the den. MoonPaw dashed out past him in a blur and TigerPaw heard her say 'slowpoke' as she brushed past him.
