Me and Alpha had taken watch over the supplies when I saw her. She was sneaking towards the kitchen, her back turned against us.
"Psst!" I whispered to Alpha. "Look. At 1 o' Clock." His head snapped towards the direction I'd indicated. The edges of my mouth curl upward.
"This one's mine." I say and he glances uncertainly at me.
"You sure?"
"Are YOU sure about me leaving you alone?" I snap back. He rolls his eyes.
I grit my teeth grab a pair of those night vision goggles, just in case, and start walking toward the mouth of the Cornucopia because I'd left my sword at the mouth leaning against the wall. When I was seven feet from the entrance I noticed I couldn't see District Five anymore. I should have been able to see her as I got closer to the front than I did in the back. Once I get three feet form the opening, I see a fair-coloured hand snatch my sword and then hear the thud of feet leaving.
"I'll be back later!!!" I scream at Alpha and start running.
"Wait!!" He yells, scrambling to get up. "Stay HERE!!" I hear him yell something but I am already chasing the redheaded girl. She darted into the kitchen and I corner her against a table.
