Nobuyuki's POV:
Wrapping my towel around my waist, I step out of the shower and look into the fogged mirror. Sighing, I wipe my mirror to get a clear view of myself and rub the back of my neck. It was finally the day of the camping trip me and my friends had planned about a few months ago. It was mostly Warren trying to push me closer to one of our female friends, Jess, who I've told him many times that I don't have a crush on. Out of all people, I chose him to be my best friend. Good job, Nobuyuki, good job. I regret my decision sometimes. I jumped a little as my phone buzzed on the bathroom counter, interrupting my thoughts. I quickly pick it up and see a text from Warren. "Speak of the devil." I mumble as I dried my black hair with another towel and began to read the text, ready for what silly thing Warren had to say. "'Sup Nobu the piece of tofu! Ready for tonight dude? I know Jess is~ ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) . We're gonna leave a mark all over those woods! See ya soon!" "Pfft, this guy." I chuckle and set my phone down. I'm going to murder him someday. I'm not even a vegetarian.
I made my way to my room after drying off, buttoning my pants and fastening the belt. Clicking noises began to sound off against the hardwood floors, echoing through the dark hallway, making me halt. I took a cautious look around to see if it was one of my brothers trying to prank me, but it was just me. I turned my head to look at a nearby clock, watching as the hand ticked to each dash and number, making quieter tick noises. Taking a few more steps, the noises began again but stopped when I did. I raised an eyebrow and looked at the clock again, bringing my phone to my face and taking a glimpse at the date 'Thursday, October 9th'. I rolled my eyes slightly, remembering old stories I was told as a kid. "It's just a story, it didn't really happen." I tell myself, shaking my head. I start walking again, reaching my hand out to twist the cool, golden knob. The clicking noises started again, but it was at a faster pace this time. Quickly turning around and moving my arm to the left, I flipped the light switch in the hallway, expecting to see a creature at least my height or taller. Seeing nothing looking me in the eyes, I raised an eyebrow and slowly looked down. "Whaaaat?" I sigh and facepalm myself. It was none other than one of our dogs making her way over towards my room with me. Why am I so jumpy? Grunting at myself, I opened my door, letting Inu happily trot in first, cause I'm just a gentlemen like that.
I turned my TV on for Inu to watch, even though she probably doesn't understand it. It's just a distraction anyway so she doesn't watch me get dressed, it feels weird when she does. I slid on my shoes and packed my camping gear, looking at the TV every now and then, Picking up my black hoodie, I slid it over my elbows to put it over my head. Before pulling it over, I look down to see Inu staring at me with her big mitch-matched eyes. She started panting and I looked down at my toned stomach, and then back at the eager canine. "Inu, stop it. You're weirding me out." I say and finally pull my hoodie over my head, straightening the wrinkles and grabbed my duffle bag to start packing. Hearing small whimpers escape from the light-tanned dog, I chuckled evilly and continued to pack my things into my duffle bag.
