In the wake of the havoc caused by the 2027 nuclear bombing, only a few colonies of humans are left. After the impacts, fallouts, and cases of slow radioactive poisoning, only thirteen percent of the human population has survived. It has been fifteen years since and things are still bleak in prospect. Over half the drinkable water has been polluted and over seventy different species of animals have mutated or adapted from the harsh environment. The first few years were harsh, constant panic thrived in in this new world and there was no sign of it abating. Most saw this hellish event as God punishing us for our sins, but really I think that this is the fruit of the tree of stupidity our race planted and grew over all our years. Countless wars and unimaginable amounts of of death and hatred has passed both before and after the bombings. All we can picture as our future is the demise of Earth and all we can do is just try to prolong our pitiful lives. So many people wake up, only to cry at what reality has become. Some pray, but really what point is there in helping those who are doomed die and have already accepted the inevitable.
