The memories of when they would go to the Police Station every day and look for a hint in her case file as to whom could have done this to her were still fresh.
The memory of their last moments together with her, laughing and joking, jumping into rock pools and off roofs into pools, the usual stuff fifteen year olds do.
The photos of her that were taken at the scene led them to believe that a psychopath was behind her death.
