He decided to go find the box. He had buried it somewhere around here, he remembered that it was under this tree. The tree where they had first met. He sighed, it was 3 years since she died. He saw nothing that day- the day she died right before his eyes. He wondered if he could live on without her.

She regretted nothing. He knew that... but he could not bring himself to believe she died. This is their story-

The Tale of Two

Poor girl. That's the only thing I ever heard thoughout my short life.

“ I'll show them; I'm much stronger than they think. ” She sighed, in thought.

My parents had died when I was 15, but I didn't have time to despair. My friends and relatives offered to take me in... hahahaha did they think I would let them pity me? No, of course not.

“ I can take care of myself, don't worry, ” I told them.

Despite their protests, I left. I continued with school, exceeding everyone. I graduated at the top of my class, went on to university though scholarship and excelled every subject. I had made it though with my hard work, and I was satisfied. I could be anything I wanted to be. I worked myself for this but I still had no clue what to do. I looked for the answer everywhere, but I couldn't find anything. The price for trying to be perfect had come to this? She had no emotions at all- she felt nothing and nothing at all, she was fake and phony.

“ I decieved the world and myself for my own sake, therefore I am devoid of all emotion, ” She whispered. That sounded right, at least to herself.

“ That was a good line, you should become a poet, ” A deep voice came from behind her.

She sat up from where she was lying down from before.

“ W-w-what? ” She stuttered.

“ I said you could become a poet. ”The man repeated.

“ O-o-oh, ah um...thanks, ”She replied.

“ Sorry for disturbing Miss, but you kind of startled me, as I was reading right behind that tree, ”he paused then continued, “ You also sounded a bit lonely. ”

“ Oh,you didn't disturb me...I probably disturbed you, ” She started out, “ I was just thinking about what I was going to do. ”

“ If you have some time do you mind? Or rather, could you please listen to me? ” She told the man about her life as if she'd known him for ages. And the man patiently listened to the girl's story.

“ I see, that's why you said, 'I decieved the world and myself for my own sake, therefore I am devoid of all emotion.' ” The man said some moments after she finished telling her tale.

" I'm not looking for pity, just maybe comfort, it's been so long since I've talked with anyone really, sorry if I'm just rambling away, " She sighed.

" Much deserved comfort, you've been so lonely for so long, I wouldn't mind listening to you, " He looked far off into to the distance, " You've been through so much at such an age, unlike me who just spends time reading, writing, painting and taking pictures. "

" Perhaps, you are as lonely as I, needing to seek comfort once in awhile? " She breathed scared to break silence.

" I have been alone for some time, my name is Lysander, and you? " Lysander quietly asked.

" Sera Anastasia, I prefer Seria though, " Seria shyly smiled at him.

" Angel of resurrection? " Lysander asked.

" They wanted something like that, Lysander, or rather freedom? Good choice. " Seria winked.

" Come, let's go somewhere warmer to talk, perhaps you'd like coffee or tea?" Lysander stood up.

They talked for a long time, about many things, like which tea they preferred, and all sorts of random things until the store closed. They had walked to the shop, but Lysander had his car parked in the parking lot. He told Seria that they let him park there all the time because he gave them paintings to decorate the shop as well as just being friends with the owner. He had painted all of them, and in return the paintings were on display and sold; both sharing the profit. She was in awe, everything was so beautiful in the shop, it was a small building with two floors, the top floor being the bar lounge and the bottom floor was for regular customers who just wanted a drink or something to eat. The atmosphere was very homey, there were comfy brown couches and oak tables as well as regular tables and booths, the customers always had a choice of where to sit. The top floor was modern however, filled with the latest technology, it was a very versatile cafe. Seria loved it right away, it reminded her of her aunt's home. Lysander offered to take her home, but she declined, as they were still complete strangers. It was soon sunset and both were happily worn out.

Seria was intrigued by him as he was her, that mysterious man, hopefully she would run into him again, but there was still so much she didn't know about him, and he knew almost everything, it was her own fault but she could speak to no one... she was finally relieved of this heavy burden.
