Chapter 3; What a first day...

Jessie wakes up because of Tony, who's screaming in Italian into his phone. She yawns and looks at the alarmclock: 07:00 AM. She sighs and gets out of bed. -  ''Day 1 working with other people, here I come.'' - When she's ready and gets into the kitchen, a nervous Mila is sitting at their kitchen table. Dunya is laying on her feet, but she keeps an eye on the kitchentable.  ''Goodmorning Mila, you okay?'' Jessie asks while getting herself a cup of coffee. ''I guess... I never was really good at first days of... Anything.'' Mila replies as she takes a sip from her tea. ''I'm sure you will be okay. You're pretty, you're smart and girl you look amazing.'' Jessie says and Mila looks up at her and smiles. ''Thanks Jessie. For everything.'' She says and Jessie gives her a hug. ''You're very welcome. Now come on, make me proud!'' Jessie says with a big smile. Then Tony walks in, all cranky. ''Well, goodmorning to you too.'' Jessie says and she gives him his cup of coffee. ''What's up with you?'' Mila asks as he sits down and sighs loudly. ''My parents want me to take over the restaurant. I don't want to work there. I love my job in LA.'' He says. Mila looks immediately at Jessie, who looks worried. The silent moment gets interrupted by a knock on the door. ''That's my cue, I should go. Good luck today Jessie, I'm sure they'll love your episode!'' Mila says as she grabs her bag and walks out of the kitchen, getting followed by Dunya. ''Bye, have a good day!'' Jessie shouts after her and then she focussed on Tony again. ''What do you mean, take over the restaurant? They know you don't want that.'' Jessie says as she sits across Tony. ''You're right... I'm going right now to tell them that!'' He says and he stands up. ''Wow wow wow wow, hold up.'' Jessie says as she runs after him. ''Why? I need to tell them this right now! They have to know that they can't controll me that way anymore. I'm a man now!'' - ''Yeah... But a man with Power Pony's pj's...'' Jessie says. He looks down and nods. ''Yeah, I'd better change first.'' He agrees and he rushes to his closet. Jessie just shakes her head and gets back to her coffee.

''Bye mom, I'm off to work!'' Emma shouts to her mother while walking into the elevator. ''Bye sweetie! Have a great first day!'' Christina shouts back and with a big smile Emma leaves the penthouse and goes off to her first day as styling artist at Leopard Beat. Next to styling artist, she also has the job of teen VP of Leopard Beat. Full of excitement she gets into the limo. Her first day of an adult job!

When Jessie get's at the office, it's a lot more crowded than she thought it would be. People are running around, papers are flying through the air and she hears screaming. She just looks around with big eyes, not a word leaving her mouth. ''Jessie! This way please!'' She suddenly hears and she looks to her right, where Morgan's head is popping out of a doorway. She walks that way and when she enters the room; there's no chaos at all. When the door closes, all the noises are gone as well. ''Welcome Jessica Prescott, please.'' Morgan says and the team who's sitting at the table claps for her. She finds her seat and lets out a big sigh. This isn't so bad.

Meanwhile at Walden Academy, Ravi is showing Mila around. ''And so when you hear..... This bell....'' The school bell rings. ''It's just the schoolbell. Not the fire alarm. So don't try to save the school.'' Ravi says to Mila and she laughs. ''I know what a schoolbell sounds like, Ravi. Why would I think all that?'' She asks. ''Oh... You know...'' Ravi says and he walks away quickly. ''Wait, Ravi.... Where do I have to go?'' Mila asks a bit panicked as Ravi walks away. She starts to follow him, but she bumps right into a big guy. ''Oh my God, I'm so sorry.'' She mumbles and she gets down to grab her books. Before she can look up properly, Luke pulls her away. ''She's very sorry, she's new.'' He says quickly and Mila looks confused his way. Then she looks at the guy standing in front of her. He's like 6ft tall, quite muscular and he doesn't look very happy. But his facial expression changes. ''No, I wasn't looking. I'm sorry.'' He says as he grabs her last book and gives it to her, before walking away. Confused, she looks at Luke, who's also looking confused. ''Who was that?'' Mila asks Luke, as she looks how the tall guy walks away. ''That was James Allen.. He's doing his senior year for the second time. And he doesn't like anyone.'' Luke answers her. He helps her putting her books into her bag and sighs. ''Come on, you have English first. I'm in the same class.'' He says and he nods in the way of the classrooms. ''Thanks Luke.'' She smiles and she follows him to her first class. He actually saved her a seat and after introducing herself, her class is actually quite impressed by her English and her enthousiasm. 

After walking away, Ravi came into his algebra class. Ofcourse he's early, he always is. But he isn't the first one in class. Some guy is sitting somewhere in the middle and he's writing down a lot. A bit confused he walks his way. ''Err, hi.'' Ravi says a bit insecure. The stranger looks up and smiles at him. ''Hi. I'm Eli.'' He says and somehow he comforts Ravi. ''I'm Ravi Ross.'' He says, shaking Eli's hand. ''Nice to meet you.'' Eli says to him and Ravi smiles. Will this be his first official friend? His thought get interrupted by a girl walking in. ''Hey, you're not the only one who's already here!'' She says to Eli and Ravi looks at her. She's pretty. Eli stands up and gives her a hug. ''Ravi, this is Valerie, my girlfriend. Val, this is Ravi.'' Eli introduces the two of them. ''Hi Ravi.'' She says nicely to him with a smile. ''Hi, nice to meet you.'' Ravi says back, a bit shy. ''Are you in this class too?'' Ravi asks her and Valerie nods, as she sits down. Ravi also chooses a seat, which is next to Eli and he grabs his books. This might be a good year.

Meanwhile Jessie is trying to make a good first impression, but everything she tries fails. At first she spills coffee over the entire table, including the laptops, tablets and papers. Then she leaves her bag on the floor for a minute, making several people trip over it and later on she gets stuck in the elevator after getting some fresh air. With a big sigh she sits down at her own desk and she looks at the second episode she wrote. ''Why is this so terrible?'' She whispers to herself and she starts deleting most of it. ''Jessie, what's going on with you?'' Morgan asks as he walks over to her. ''I am so sorry.'' Jessie starts but Morgan cuts her off. ''Why are you deleting this? This is actually quite good.'' He says as he reads with her on her laptop. ''But I can do better. I swear.'' Jessie says. ''I know. And you'll get there. But don't delete everything. Read it over and think about what you can change. I know your day didn't went as you wanted to, but I have faith in you. I didn't hire you because you took care of my kids for 4 years. I hired you because I actually think you are talented. I wish you could see it yourseld.'' Morgan says to Jessie and he walks out. Jessie sighs and gets her entire script back. ''Let's do this.'' She sighs to herself and she starts rewriting.

Emma's first day actually went really good! The photoshoot she had to style today, was going to be a massive hit! ''Miss Emma Ross, this was amazing!'' Shirley, her new assistent says. ''The styling, the make-up and your article were all a big hit!'' Emma smiles at these words. ''Thanks Shirley! This was a great first day! I'm going to take the papers for tomorrow with me to my place, so I can already start at home.'' Emma says while grabbing some papers from her desk. ''You're so dedicated, miss Ross! We're so happy with you here!'' Shirley says and she gives Emma a big hug. ''I will see you tomorrow, Shirley!'' Emma says and she walks out. 

''You did great.'' Mila suddenly hears as she puts her books into her locker. She looks aside and sees Luke leaning against other lockers. ''Thanks.'' She smiles. ''You know where your next class is, right?'' He asks her and she nods. ''Well well well.. Did Luke Ross find a new girl to play?'' Both of them look aside and there stands a pretty, ginger-haired girl. She's really pretty. ''I thought you quit this school, Bryn?'' Luke spits. ''Well, after Emma snitched on me during our exams, no other school wanted me there. So I'm back.'' Bryn says snobby. ''Snitched on you? You mean you cheated and you blaimed Emma?'' Luke corrects her. ''Potato, potato.'' Bryn says, making a girl, who's supposily with Bryn, giggle. ''What?'' Bryn asks. ''N-Nothing.'' She stutters. ''I already thought so. Leave me alone, Kelly.'' Bryn sighs and the girl wants to leave. ''No wait. Come on, you don't have to listen to her.'' Mila says to the girl. ''You're in my next class, aren't you? History.'' Mila asks her, pointing at the book in her arms and the girl nods. ''You can walk with me if you want?'' Mila suggests and the girl nods. ''I'm Kelly.'' The girl says. ''I'm Mila. Nice to meet you, Kelly.'' Mila says with a wink, while grabbing her last book and closing her locker. ''Oh and Bryn... That's your name right?'' - ''What?'' Bryn responds annoyed. ''First of all; Luke and I are not together and he wouldn't play me. Second, you've got something on your face.'' Mila says. ''I'll see you later.'' She says to Luke as she walks away, taking Kelly with her and Luke just shakes his head while laughing. ''It's ketchup or something.'' He says to Bryn, before laughing and walking off. 

When Jessie comes home, a hyper Dunya jumps onto her. ''Hi cutie!'' Jessie says to the dog and she walks into the kitchen. Tony and Mila sit together with a cup of hot chocolate at the kitchentable. ''Hey babe, how was your day?'' Tony asks Jessie, as she also grabs a cup. ''At first horrible, but it turned out great.'' Jessie says while going to sit with them. ''How about yours? What did your parents say?'' Jessie asks Tony and he nods happily. ''They accept the fact that I'll be working at LA. They just want me to be happy, after all.'' He says and she hugs him. ''I'm so happy for you, sweetheart.'' She says. ''What about you, Mila? How was your first day of high school?'' Jessie asks and Mila smiles. ''I think I am going to have a great 10 months here!'' Mila says and they 'cheers' with their mugs.
