November the 5th, New York. 20:45.

The bell rings indicating someone is entering the small cafe. The sun had long set and the cold wind was hitting the Windows. The place was not full but there were only about three empty tables. You could hear the voices of the clients along with the soft music. The coffee scent filling Troye's nostrils making him feel at home.

"Hey ma" he says to the raven haired woman who turns around as she hears his voice.

"Hi baby, how was school?" She asks before planting a kiss on his forehead, walking towards one of the tables.

The boy shrugs walking in to the other side of the counter leaving his stuff in a chair.

"As good as college can be" he says and sighs just after. He then starts cleaning the counter.

"where's mom?" He asks but just as the question leaves her mouth the bell rings again and he sees his mother coming in.

"There she is" she answers smiling at her wife.

"Hi baby, I'm sorry, Ally asked me to drop her home" she says walking towards the other woman, leaning down to peck her lips.
She turns her head to see her son cleaning  table number 5 with a frown on his face. She walks towards him and stares at him for some seconds.

"Still nothing?" She asks.

The boy turns to look at her and gives her a sad smile. "Hi mom," he says.
He then precedes to hug the blonde woman.

"I have some days left and not even a tittle on it." His muffled voice tickles on his mothers neck.
She then squeezes the boy and plants a kiss on his head.

"I have an idea. I'll tell you a story, from when I was younger, it's incomplete for most of us but perhaps, you can find the perfect ending" she says with a smile on her face. The boy's eyes spark full of excitement and nods furiously his head quickly moving on to clean the next table, now with a big grin on his face.

When the cafe is finally cleaned and cleared up, the boy and his mothers sit on a table, hearing the soft voice of a singer through the stereo. 3 coffees, 3 cheesecakes, a notebook and a pen lay on the table.

"Troye, has your mother ever told you the story of how we actually met?" The brown eyed woman asks her boy.

"Dinah...why are you-"

"Lauren babe, let me speak" The Tongan girl says.

"You see Troye, the story of how we met is not something we, and by we I don't mean just your mom and I but a lot more people, don't like to talk about"

The boy looks at his mother with confusion all over his face but nods his head for her to keep talking.

"But perhaps you can give us closure to that story that happened so many years ago." She continues, looking at her wife for approval.

Lauren only nods her head, knowing what story they are about to tell to their son. Knowing exactly why, not her, not Dinah, ally, Sofi, or really anyone close like to talk about it. Like almost a taboo or those horrible things no one talks about out of fear. Lauren closes her eyes and takes a deep breath, remembering those ghosts of their past are far behind even though there are still haunting nights.

"You ready?" She asks him.

"Yes ma" he says.

"When me and your mom met we were in our freshman year of college. We were introduced by Aunt Ally,"

He tilts his head not sure why is he hearing this again, he knows that.

"But ally was only my friend" Dinah says.
