There once was a girl that wanted to fly far far away

Away from everything

People, School, Life

Try as she might she couldn't

She sat for years looking out her bedroom window

Envying the little birds just out of her reach

As they danced and played everyday

The days soon rushed by and She grew older and older

Soon enough married

Had twins

As they grew she still wished with all her might

Even when her supple skin turned wrinkled

Her hair as white as the snow of winter

Her eyes that no longer shone their lively glow

And her body that no longer worked how it used to

Still stared out the window day after day without fail

Then finally one winter day

They granted her awaited wish

Smiling from ear to ear

She admired her gorgeous wings

Not even noticing the other changes

Had she looked at the window

She would have seen herself

Her skin no longer wrinkled

Her hair no longer white

Body youthful again

And her eyes shining as bright as stars

She happily took flight

Finally doing what she loved

She howled with laughter

And flew higher and faster than anyone else ever has before.
